Default Which one?

Advice from current Corvette owners. Which one would you chose and why. A2018 ZO6 1 LZ convertible vrs. A 2019 GS 2 LZ convertible. Both new. The Z asking$ is $74K which seems like an incredible deal.

The Z, because 650HP trumps the options of the 2LT package in the GS!

you are on this forum, a sports car forum. you get the biggest motor you can afford first, and worry about whether you can afford more frou frou after. there is no such thing as a new stripper vette. you won't be turned away from Mar Lago if you show up in a 1LT or a 1LZ..

There is the answer in a nutshell. Plus both cars will have HUD, one of the best features in 2LT. (HUD standard in 1LZ)

Not enough info, as It would depend on color combination, chrome or black wheels, A8 vs M7 etc, unless these items don't matter to you which would be a bit odd IMO.
Makes me wonder if this is a 'what-if' exercise as opposed to a real scenario.

Call your insurance agent and ask them. I'd bet the Z is a good deal more than the GS. Just saying. (but my 16 Z51 is only $800 a year for full coverage and a $500 ded... so how bad could it be?)

Ok that said, The HUD, vented seats, and front cameras are well worth the cost difference from 1- 2 level... (yes, that's my opinion, you are free to disagree)

Real scenario or I would not have wasted my time posting. Price of $73k for a vert. Z manual is hard to resist as I am considering trading my 16 Challenger Hellcat.

Ok, as previously stated, my decision as to Z06 vs GS would depend on the which C7 I liked the most in regard to interior/exterior color, wheels etc.. Other than that the GS and Z06 are very similar, except
for the Z06's additional 190 HP, which doesn't matter to me.
I'm curious, considering your bolded comment above, why are you even considering a GS.

what is your intention with the car? When i was shopping last month the difference in monthly payment between the GS and Z was only $110 , that's insignificant so price wasn't an issue. I wanted a car more for daily driving around town, back and forth to work etc. plus the occasional track time. More importantly, dealer also had my color combo i wanted and i wanted it NOW for the summer. The GS fit the bill. All the looks and feel of the Z just minus the HP. Not going to miss the HP difference on the street anyway . Now does having a 700HP gen V Viper sway my decision...maybe a bit. But still wanted the normal aspirated engine in the GS. Not that this mattered much to me but the resale will probably be better with the GS.

If it were me I'd get the ZO6. I check prices all the time and I've seen several 1LZ ZO6's for sale on some Forum vendors for as low as 73K and I'd buy one in a heartbeat now if I needed a new Corvette. Just sayin'.

For something as big as a Corvette purchase, NEVER settle for something you'll regret later. Keep looking till you find what you want. The 2LT/2LZ would be mandatory for me. Heads up display, Nav, and PDR are requirements for me.

2018 z vrs 2019 GS., More color choice with the GS., 2 lt vrs 1 LZ. GS selections closer to me. Z is 1300 miles away.

1LZ in the Z06 has HUD, but NAV is "Optional" with the 1LZ or 2LZ.
NAV is Standard in 3LZ.
Ask for the build sheet for each car to see if any Options were added, or not.
And if you want Comfort/Convenience features like adjustable Heated/Vented Seats and Memory Package and more, you need at least the 2LZ.
Also check Chevrolet.com and build each car to see what's included or Optional, with each Trim Level.
