Damaged just the paint, or gouged the underlying aluminum?
Repainting an aluminum wheel is an accepted repair by GM, so your case is weakened if it's just paint damage. A good wheel repair guy can smooth out slight scratches in the aluminum and airbrush the paint well enough you won't be able to tell, I've had it done. If they have to repaint the entire wheel, put it beside the other ones in good sunlight before mounting the tire, to see if the color is matched on all 4 wheels.
