Z51 Rear Spoiler Choices
Loooking at the Z51 rear spoiler that tapes on. Who has installed this type and how does it look ? Any pics ? Just can't get myself to drill holes in my new 2019.

I did it, and would 100% do it again. Between the 3M tape and the silicone adhesive, it ain't coming off until I want it off.

I had one already installed on the 2016 C7 I recently purchased from a dealer in Phoenix, it looked good, but I noticed the 3M tape was letting go and the spoiler was lifting up on both sides. I gets very hot in Arizona and I didn't feel comfortable with the idea of the spoiler coming off at speed on the highway. I had the dealer replace the spoiler with the OEM Z51 spoiler which is bolted on...much happier now. If you don't live in an extreme climate, you'll probably be fine.

Yes...but if you get an account on eBay sometimes they send out a 20% off coupon for anything. Both TheSpoilerCompany and WingTech (eBay stores) resell the DAR product so you can save some money.
Whatever you do, my advice is to LET THEM PAINT IT, and specifically request "3M ONLY INSTALL".

Was thinking of going with the stock Z51 style in Carbon Flash metallic. My car is Longbeach Red Convt. I think the Cabon Flash matches the rear bumper color ?

You don't HAVE to attach spoiler with bolts... only if you want to keep it...
Tape may work on side molding and emblems, but I would never rely on tape to hold a large aerodynamic part.
Over time heat and aerodynamic forces can cause the tape to release. You will never take it off, so just drill the holes and be done with it..

Big Lebowski's, sharp looking C7, vert.
I think the contrast of the dark carbon flash spoiler,, and the black lower rear end panels would be sharp. The contrast is shown below in Torch Red, on member; Big Lebowski's C7 vert:

I had this same dilemma and ended up going with a tape on Z51 style in carbon flash from southern car parts, it was about $300 and took a couple weeks to receive. To install a OEM style with studs
is a pain in the @ss ALOT of folks including me dont want to start pulling parts and panels off there brand new vette if there are other good options available.
Its simple... THE TAPE WORKS.

This is what the 3M tape on my spoiler looked like after less than 2 years in Arizona...I had the dealership replace the spoiler with the OEM spoiler when I purchased the vehicle at 9K miles.

Definitely not the first time ive been wrong. I can see how outside 100+ temps daily could cause this.

We have the stock Z51 spoiler, which (to my eye) looks about right, not too big and not too small. Your opinion may differ.
Visibility out the rear is bad enough, I wouldn't want to cut that down any more.
If you carry luggage in your trunk like we often do, wait a month or two for the paint to cure and then have the spoiler covered with XPel or something similar. Actually, we have a scratch in the XPel (but not the paint beneath) that came when the targa slipped out of our hands while putting into the trunk.

Given that you didn't install this yourself and can't speak to the variables (tape type, surface prep, etc), I'd suggest that this isn't a valid data point.
