Default Mirror adjustment problem

I adjusted my driver, passenger, and center rear view mirror with the new method to reduce my blind spot. The mirrors are adjusted away from the car where you can not see the car's rear quarter panel edge. The problem I am having is when driving in reverse with the mirrors automatically tilting downward. I can not see the tires, ground, parking lines, or garage door opening with respect to the car due to the mirrors being aimed so far out in normal driving mode. Once the mirrors tilt downward, my view is the ground far away from the car. Is there a way to program the mirrors to turn inward a little toward the car and tilt downward so I can see the tires, ground lines/curve better..

Yes, you can program your mirrors.... in the Instruction Manual.... if you download a PDF of the manual you can do a search to locate it.

Two questions:
A) where do you affix the blind spot mirrors. Upper outside corners or inside lower corners.

B) I read the manual. It has no instructions on how to preset the position of the mirrors being in reverse. Once you are in reverse the mirrors only tilt downward from the preset mirror position in driving mode. I wonder if it's a way to save the mirror position for normal driving and for position when car is in reverse.

The problem is that if you have reverse tilt turned to on, you can not adjust how much in and down it is adjusted; it's a preset amount, so if you have your mirrors adjusted correctly to "eliminate blindspot" they do not tilt far in and down enough to see curb/wheel relation.

I think they thought it was good enough to back up because most people don't have their mirrors adjusted correctly.

This is the answer to your question. I'd rather have no blind spots than use the tilt down feature.

Can someone share this "new method" to reduce blind spots?

^ it's not new. It's just people aren't taught properly. Basically you adjust all three mirrors to be angled such that you have one seamless rearward view without having duplicate images in any of the mirrors. It takes a little time getting used to "trusting" what you see. But once you do, you won't go back.

I agree, and have been using properly adjusted mirrors for years. Yes, a bit tougher in the C7 than the C5 and C6...but it works if you do it right. I also move the passenger seat-back up a bit so I can actually look out the small side window, but usually don't bother anyway. But one thing I've noticed is that I don't see motorcycles as early as I should since the left side mirror is angled outwards, and if there's a car near my rear, it occludes oncoming motorcycles that are splitting lanes. So I've been careful when that happens.
