Default Coffee mug solution

This is silly and simple, but I wanted to post it anyway.

$12 Contigo mug from Target. Stainless steel, vacuum insulated, no-leak lid.
Generic drink koozie sleeve

I'd take this thing to a track day. It's that solid.

Coffee doesn’t taste right in any SS mug!

Gonna try it! I usually drive with a hand on it, just in case. I've tried 50 different mugs too! ty

If you can taste it, it isn't stainless steel. Dare I ask what metal they make your coffee press or whatever out of?

I like the Thermos mug we have here in Holland. They survive our hot dishwashers!

If I just get a cup from Starbucks or wherever, ALWAYS get the little plug thing. Our rides are so stiff and bumpy...always have liquids finding their way out. I'll have a spare napkin and and kinda wedge it around the cup and the retractable cover there...keeps the cup from moving. I never get bigger than the grande. Usually tall.

I have one insulated mug that fits pretty snug tho...

Another idea is to buy some small furniture pads from the hardware store. Works for me using a variety of mugs and cups. If you don't like the white edges or brown material, blacken them with a Sharpie before installing in the car, although you don't see them when the mug is in place or the lid is closed. BTW, this was Foosh's idea posted in an earlier thread.

Just poked around online to find it and there are lots of Contigo mugs. Any chance you can reply with a link? TIA

I glued the center cup holder piece in place and have since not had a single tipped over cup.

Here you go!

There's two other benefits to using the cup koozie. You can flip it over and put it on the shift ****, so it doesn't get so damn hot while the car is parked outside all day. I keep it in the center console so my phone can sit on it while it's connected to the USB socket.

I got a "Corvette" logo mug that is shorter and stays in place well.

I posted a story about "your first Corvette" and I'm hoping I win a cup, and that cup will stay in place, because none have ever done so, before.

I''ll let you know how that works out.

:

eta: It probably couldn't hurt if you went and thanked that story. ( that would be awesome, folks).

The cup I got at the CTS-V school in Nevada fits very nicely.... and looks good to boot...
