I really like the tool chest. It is far better quality than the Craftsman that I have that is 15 plus years old.
Maybe you should have purchased a better Craftsman box 15 years ago.
It is absolutely not nicer that any of the three Craftsman boxes I have or carts from twenty years ago...

That cart looks like plastic.
It is Metal and you cannot open two drawers at once reducing the chance of tipping over. Drawer operation is very smooth and the foam cut outs for the tools keeps them well organized .
What I remember of the cases in person they have much better wheels than my craftsmen or HF cases. Glides are upgraded. Definitely a $600 box based on anything else I have or have seen. Not sure about full price. At 600 you won’t get foam inlays. You would buy those with the tool set.
I’ll find out soon enough. Gets here Friday/Monday. I have a number of other sonic tools. They are all pretty solid.

$1750 for that is a good deal. Their tools are good and if you were to compare something similar from Snap On it would be way more expensive.
I'm still of the opinion that if you show up all over the world touting " Americas Sport Car " and can't find an American tool sponsor keep them on the track, What kind of message does this send.
Ignoring the appropriateness of American vs foreign tools, I'm not sure an all American tool line exists any more. Snap-on might be the closest, but even they outsource a fair number of tools so who knows where they all come from. I'd be shocked if any of their cordless tools are made in the USA, for example.
For better or worse manufacturing left this country decades ago. And the problem at this point is that a lot of the infrastructure needed for large scale manufacturing no longer exists here either.

It's entirely possible that IMSA teams are contractually obligated to use Sonic, since they are the official tool of the series. They may not have any choice in what they use.
