The OP already has the answer to the question he is posing! Just watch his video.

I was joking with a friend a week ago about the uptick in car jackings by wayward yutes in my town. I said well, I'm good because these kids today can't drive or know what a manual transmission is.
Yesterday a guy in my area of town gets jacked at his house, pistol whipped. They were gonna steal his car, but oops. It has a millennial anti theft device - manual trans.

I've owned both.... been rowing gears since 1957...... like autos, like sticks.... at the end of the day all of them are just cars......

I've always preferred manuals, my daily driver is a manual. Looked for for a manual when in the market for my GS vert, but couldn't find one so settled for an A8 and am glad I did.
Have never had second thoughts.
Also keep in mind you will have a much smaller pool of potential buyers if/when you go to sell a manual. Only 18% of the american driving public can drive a stick.

This all comes down to personal preference and what makes us all happy. For me I just pray that my next Vette will still be available in manual, very hard to find other sports cars with manual these days like 911s.

M7, unless you like playing with paddles and pretending you are driving a M7.

This is like asking everybody if they like the color you chose. It's a personal choice. Not sure why everyone wants a forum to make a decision for them when its their own personal needs that nobody here could possible know. Do you like stick? Do you drive in lots of stop and go traffic? Do you have shoulder or leg/hip issues for clutching? For me I just drive mine on sunny days and fun rides. I love stick for this purpose. It's awesome. I believe I can manipulate the torque to my preference a lot better than letting a computer decide when to shift. I'm no where near a fast but I'm not racing so I don't care. It's all about the fun and stick maximizes my fun factor.

I rather row my own gears, if & when I can't do that, most likely I will give up the Vette, I am old school, I like the control of shifting myself & the thrill of going thru the gears.
On another note, I notice that when most Vetts are bought new, the Auto is what is bought 90% of the time, but when the used market buyer is out looking, then the buyers want the manual, go figure.

Hey Ozz - Im a huge fan of your videos - thanks for always sharing. I will admit that I would have bet you were a manual tranny type of guy... I could have sworn your C4 was stick too...
Interesting points you made - I went 7-spd on my Z51 and although its definitely some work to drive a C7 manual - I do enjoy it, especially coming from an automatic C5...just wanted to try something different...next Vette - Ill go color and ZO6 and not care which tranny it has...
