I've got a Metallic Red Tintcoat that I love, but spotted the GM (that I know) at a dealership earlier today and said, "Want to talk with you about trading cars...." He said, "Give me a call."
New car? Ceramic Matrix Gray...... might as well move up from 3LT Stingray coupe to ZO6...... love the color......
I have a 2018 Ceramic Matrix Grey Stingray. I absolutely love it! It's by far the easiest color to keep clean, always looks great! I've had 2 red corvettes and I get way more attention with this color. I just did a road trip out west and I had 5 people come up to me in the first day at stops and gas stations asking what color is that? Is it white? Silver? Blue? I never got that much attention in the red corvettes.
I love how it changes colors in different lights and the metallic really makes the color pop. I hope they still make this color in the future, all my future corvettes will be in this color if they still make it!
Near the bottom of my color choices... To me it looks like a dirty white or a buffed out primer coat.
When I attended Spring Mountain, it was the color of the car I drove, and I would have preferred any other color for the pics that were taken on the track...
Agreed, AW looks incredibly dated when parked next to CMG. My CMG Z06 was my 6th C7 and by far my most complimented color, it's somewhere in my top 4 for the entire generation with DSOM, SG, and LB.

I had the exact opposite reaction as I had originally thought that the Ceramic Matrix Gray was going to be a new metallic white. I did a side-by-side dealership comparison between Ceramic Matrix Gray and Arctic White and chose my Arctic White/Adrenaline Red combo for the pure, clean, classic look as the Ceramic Matrix Gray to my eyes, looked like a primer base with a blue tint.
However, paint color, like trim and other options are subjective and IMO, it's pretty hard to mess up a Corvette regardless of the color and trim package chosen. There is no right or wrong, just what appeals to you personally as the buyer. I just chuckle when unpopular colors or low-volume colors by demand are then marketed as "rare" with the expectation that an originally unpopular color will be worth more years down the line just because it was not originally popular.
Similar to Arctic White, I think you can use Ceramic Matrix Gray as a great starting color to add custom trim components. I added Shark Gray vents, a custom-painted Shark Gray stinger hood stripe, and Forgeline Transparent Smoke finish wheels to achieve the look I was going for and I've seen some nice Ceramic Matrix Gray Corvettes with red, blue or yellow trim that I really thought was a good match. Too bad GM discontinued the Twilight Blue interior option as I thought that would have been a great match with the Ceramic Matrix Gray.
I had a 15 AW, never cared at ALL for CMG!!! Till i saw it in person!!! I ordered my my 19 CMG!! It makes look AW sooo ^plain!! Even my savana is AW !!
But damn!!!
To each there own. I had zero intention of trading my 14 Stingray, Arctic white, and Carbon Flash with 3LT and Z51. Saw the Ceramic Matrix Gray and had to have it. I love the color. In the sun it is really eye catching, I get lots of compliments on it.
Aw is just as regular as every other white is this world! On the other hand CMG have a look of its own, something that stand out from the sea of white!! I used to be a AW ONLY dude, before a saw in person CMG! BTW in canada its a 1000$ options that paint!
