Love the idea! Show pics when done. U probably will have to sand them to avoid any texture from showing.

Thanks but I think the film is thick enough that it wouldn't show any texture - seat backs are pretty smooth - hard part is doing it with seats in car - probably doable if I can use trim tools to lift leather to get film under - some pretty good videos on how to wrap without much heat at all

You guys have skills I don't possess, of course, I'm old - I can't see my seat backs when I'm driving - 70,000 miles and climbing... 5,000 mile trip coming up in late August.

Thanks it will be done right or wouldnt try it - just hope I can do it in car otherwise they are coming out - seats go forward quite a but so may be doable - well see - hopefully this weekend

Strong reason I am doing it is there is quite a bit of visible seat back on the sides when sitting in seats - if there wasnt much exposure and only the back was prominent I wouldnt bother

Well here you go not very intuitive video but worth a look if I have to pull them so be it but dont think I will have to - looks pretty straight forward - not doing airbag - it will get scratched probably and oem doesnt do either - just seat back is gloss - may be metallic not sure - I will be using straight black gloss

^ that looks sick!! I used that same brand to have my roof wrapped. It came out great...the vinyl has nice depth and look like CF. It fools everyone...

He did a good job - I think if you were to do C7 Carbon Fiber to match it would need to be a bit darker - looks a bit lighter to me

fortunately I don't have any existing interior carbon...so matching won't be a concern for me.

I hope you wash all parts of your car, not just the parts you can see while driving lol

Thanks that one is harder than C7 I think more wiggle room with C7 leather - I will be protecting it with something solid not tape thats for sure if I dont feel comfy off they come

This actually has been an idea I too have been contemplating as I have had 12’ of 4d carbon fiber wrap sitting in my garage for a year or two. I agree that our seat backs are much easier looking. My biggest concern would be getting the wrap under the leather and cutting it without damaging the leather. I think this will be extremely hard with the seats in the car. I’m thinking running knifeless tape on the edge may be the way to go.

Question of mine also - probably 3m matte - I have some at home - stuff is pretty thick - hard to work with on small parts - looking for other options - tough to tell from pics on web
