Does anyone know the maximum number of waypoints that can be entered on our NAV systems? I want the NAV to follow a specific route down to Tampa from Jacksonville. I want to go cross state without taking the horror of horrors I4 to get to I75. I figure I can turn off the preference for Interstate routes and basically head southwest from Jacksonville toward Tampa. I'll have to get on to I75 but I'd like to get on as far south as I can and close to where I4 hits I75. Problem is I need to use specific waypoints to get the car to zigzag the route I want to take. Soooooooo, I need to know the maximum number of waypoints I can enter and with that knowledge I can plan my waypoints to follow my desired route.
So, how many waypoints do I have to work with? The manual says there are waypoints and that there is a maximum number of waypoints available but the book doesn't say how many I have available.
Elmer, did you review talon90's C7 Navigation info on his website? Sorry, I don't remember what it contains but what you need might be in there if no one has a quick answer for you.
Why not use AA instead? I'm not sure how many stops you can add to a route but I do know you can find locations on Google Maps, say on your laptop, then with a click of a button send them to your phone. Then you will have a notification for each destination. Just tap to navigate there...
If you tell the Nav to avoid Freeways and Toll Roads, it will. That's how I drove home from the NCM and it never routed me onto an Interstate or Toll Road. No need to add waypoints.

I think I can waypoint it to the exact route I want with 5, thanks.

I've run it like that and I hit a dirt road on the C6 NAV, I was a little hesitant to have that happen again. I might just give it another whirl as long as the wife doesn't mumble about the roads.
If you use the factory nav you may get routed to a dirt road because the factory nav is crap. But if you use AA that shouldn't happen. Can't speak for Apple Maps and Car Play
That's why I use a Garmin GPS unit when I want to travel on a specific route. ( I also have the factory NAV) You can download their free computer program called "Basecamp" and design your specific route on your computer with as many waypoints as you want and then download the route to the portable GPS unit. And once you buy the Garmin unit map and software updates are free.
Attachment is Manual for "BaseCamp" computer program.
