I know there's lots of threads in post on Tire I'm tired of reading in my eyeballs are fall out of my head, are the Kumho tires satisfactory or any good for the C7 Zed 51 just curious I've read some reviews that are pro and some that are gone and some say they were out fast some say they bite good I don't know I want to have these entire that I can get 20000 miles out of anyways.

I would think you could get 20k out of a junk tire as long as the car is aligned properly and you drive normal.

I USED to be a big fan of hankook tires. Supposedly just one notch below the michelins ..

i have had 3 or 4 sets of hankooks and a couple of sets of goodyears, a set of pirellis and michelin a/s 3 on my 19/20 inch rim set from a c7 z51.

just my opinion but from an increase cost per mile standpojnt the michelins are a much smarter choice.

the ride and handling of the michelin a/s 3 is clearly the best balance of price performance and wear.

i would never go back to the supposedly well respected hankook even though i had sworn by them for years.

The extra money over 20k miles is nothing compared to how much more I enjoy driving the vehicle with the michelins a/s 3 s.

id suggest passing on tje lower quality performance tire.

good luck deciding..

thanks for your input Jerri, i talked to my local tire dealer who is also a Michelin store and she tells me that the AS3 is not a good deal, they replaced three sets already this year under warranty she suggested I stay away from them and go at the Super Sports. I'll probably go back with michelin's again but I just want to get away from the run-flats. I expected more than 20k miles tho. If I was staying local for the rest of the season for sure I would drive them and run them right out they are down to 4/32 but I'm planning on a road trip here next week so I don't want to get out in the middle of nowhere. Maybe will look at the AS4 tires. Thanks Jerri

I have been running non run flat AS3+... And I love them. Especially in the rain.
I will never ride on anything but Michelin on my cars.

I have found most cheap tires are noisy, and not worth the savings.

If there is anyone less credible than many dealership service advisors, it would be many tire store employees. The AS3+ is the runaway #1 best-rated UHP all season tire. It's #1 in almost every category. And the PSS has consistently been the #1 rated max performance summer tire for many years. Only recently has the Michelin PS4 taken it's place, and that's not available as a runflat, nor is there a version specifically designed for the C7 like the PSS.

I run the PSS in summer and the AS3+ in the winter months. They are both extraordinary performance-wise. I would not put anything else on my car.

Michelins are good tires however don't get too attached to them when you buy them, I'm at 15k miles on my Z51 and already seeing wear bars, tire shopping now ;(

I had Kumho's on my Lexus. At 20k one of them developed a bubble. I put the spare on, and the defective one blew in the trunk. They were always rotated at 5k and the air pressure was correct. I unloaded all four (with a full credit for the bad one), returned to Michelins and never looked back.

Do a little research. Check out these reviews and ratings:

UHP All Season: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surve...jsp?type=UHPAS

Max Perf. Summer: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surve...ay.jsp?type=MP

I have the Continental DWS06s on my C7. Over 17K trouble free miles in all types of weather including light snow. Great tires.
