I was there on Friday. It was my first visit...In a word...AWESOME! For Corvette owners and enthusiasts, the Carlisle Fairgrounds is a Field Of Dreams. Only spent a couple of hours as I had a dinner date after work with the wife but met some great folks and saw some great cars! Visited the Kerbeck tent, and after several phone chats got to meet Sam Kelly who really helped me when I bought my C7. The dealer I bought from had a no interest loan Sam totally understood.
I heard Wesley Wong speak and saw the reaffimation of the oath cerremony and got to meet Will Cooksey. As fine a gentleman as you'll ever meet! The only place on my hit list that I missed was the Spring Mountain Tent, they are there...saw it in my photos when I got home.
If you've never been around more than 50-100 Corvettes...brace yourself. Including vendors and visitors, over a thousand wouldn't be an exaggeration. Like I said it's a field of dreams!
And the drive wasn't half bad. From North Central Jersey about three hours on I-78 & I-81. I imagine it will be more congested this weekend, but be careful, the 18 wheelers and the two lane highways can make things tight, so slow down and ride with a nice space cushion and you'll be fine.
For those who can't make it...here's a few flix...
We were also there on Friday...... ANOTHER GREAT TIME !!! Of course the weather helped considerably too...... So how did you get the great "Flag" pic? Did you have a drone? We had to get our pic from the ground, but not nearly as nice as yours.
Luck for me, we're about 45 minutes away. Had the vette out today for most of the afternoon in the crooked roads in the country going over the mountain.
Now that my wife saw the forthcoming "Elkhart Lake Blue" painted panel in person and held it up next to our all time favorite "Laguna Blue" nearby, she thinks we should trade our '17 GS in for a new one.......

I went up to the corner of the grandstand. I also went up to the top of the hillside, but I couldn’t see anything from there. With a drone, plane or chopper you can also make out the silver “flagpole”. Glad you liked it. Still can’t believe I didn’t go to the Spring Mountain tent...a year ago Friday I was there!
Aside from Bowling Green, I guess Carlisle is the only place you can see a ‘54 C1, a ‘63 split window coupe and a ‘19 ZR1...pretty amazing!
