That sams button. Instead of up and down, in and out. If that doesn't work than a trip to the dealer to fix

Tried pushing back and forth to no avail. Only goes up and down. I’ll have to visit the dealer.

Just realized the bumper to bumper warranty expired 6 months ago. Will call my local dealer, I’m hoping they show some sympathy to a new car owner and help me fix the issue.

Can someone tell me the distance marked in the photo? I’m curious to know if my steering wheel is stuck fully extended (telescopic).

T hanks! Mine is measuring 5 1/2. Would be helpful if I coupd extend it as I have shorter arms.

will call the dealer tomorrow to see if I can get this fixed.

Ouch. Cost to replace the telescoping actuator is $900. Has anyone done this job themselves? The part is ~$120 online.

Ouch... this just happened to my 2014 a couple months back. I’d be interested in a DIY if possible.

Are you SURE it doesn't work? Just sayin'. It could be a finesse kind of thing. It's happened to me.

it will move up and down while using the switch, but won’t go out or in... I’m always open to suggestions though.

So this same thing happened on a 2017 Corvette here at the dealership. I disconnected the negative battery cable and put a full charge on the battery. Once the battery had a full charge, I connected the negative battery cable back, started the car, cycled the windows up and down, took it for a drive, and it worked fine. Not saying this is the solution to your problem, but sometimes if the battery goes low, you need to do w reset to the computer and charge the battery fully.

Hopefully this helps someone on this forum. I wish I knew this before I had the dealer replace this. I would have definitely given this a try!

I don't know if they're built the same, but when I got my C5 used the steering wheel wouldn't move any direction. I had a new switch from the seller and never investigated it. Later on I removed the drivers seat for I forget why and discovered a connector not connected to one of the boxes underneath. Plugged it in and viola, the steering wheel was fixed. But it could also be a bad switch.
