Default RPI side skirts

Well after ordering side skirts from RPI on July 2, they finally arrived this past week. Opened them up yesterday for installation and both side skirts are cracked about 1 ft from the end. Both sides cracked in same location and it appears UPS did the damage but the packaging from RPI was terrible, unbelievable I'd say. Normally I'd ask for another set to be painted and shipped but I'm leaving now in 10 days for the Western Scenic Tour to Deadwood, South Dakota.

Does anyone know of another company that has the carbon fiber already painted, ready to ship?

Just to let you know, you aren't the only one to get poor packaging from RPI.

FYI..

Most of the vendors are drop-ship so they don't package and ship the product.

It comes straight from the manufacturer.

Well RPI had to paint the product first which takes about 1 month according to them. They shipped it after it was completed.

Try c7carbon.com. Got real carbon fiber skirts from them. Turned out great. At a good price and in a reasonable time frame.

Good product, very long lead time though.

Sorry to hear that but I had side skirts, spats and splitter installed at Carlisle by RPI and they were 100% great towards me and when I went to install booth they had my whole package there as I did there special pre order for the show and my order was packed so well as I helped the installer cut all the tape and packaging of the 5 pieces plus I was in there big truck with about 100 other pieces that were packed great. On another note my spats has a minor blemish on it and I was fine with it as was on the backside where wheelwell is and they said we are replacing both of them and put new ones on. I met with the owner and his brothers just to talk and hangout and they were great and great to the customers while I was there. Give them a call and sure they will take care of you. Sorry for long message. Tom

Dealing with G3 via internet ordering instead of at their physical location is night/day. Despite numerous phone calls and texts directly with the owner, my order was repeatedly promised and again delayed time after time with consecutive empty promises and when finally arrived was not as specified. It should be noted G3 charges you the day of ordering, which apparently provides little incentive for timely (or correct) fulfillment. The owner blamed employees he was "going to fire" and Federal Express. If you research G3, you will find a history of extensive complaints with the same common BS excuses and blame by the owner. Worst buying experience I ever had. First time I ever disputed a charge on my credit card. I am convinced the credit card dispute is the only reason I was finally able to resolve my order. Unfortunately, I spent countless hours following up with this nightmare vendor.

Jenn promptly responded to my email message this morning but they have never answered the phone, always just a message machine. My cousin ordered a day after I did, they had other problems with their order. Their side skirts have still not arrived after two months. Hopefully theirs will not arrive broken like mine did.

Hi guys

we take great pride in our packaging. We have custom made boxes for the skirts ($9.62 each). We wrap
them in foam and put a piece of particular board inside. Unfortunately, we can not control what UPS with the package once it leaves our dock. I can say this, we have a damage rate of .03%. Or 1 out of 300.

We will be more more than happy to provide a brand new set, no charge to the original poster. No cost to him. That’s company policy and always has been.

As to the “cousin waiting two months”. I show no side skirt orders open from two months. We either missed this order or the timeframe of two months isn’t quite accurate.

Thanks
Chris

Hey Tom

It was a pleasure! Thanks for the kind words and happy you are happy with the end result. Tim was excited he was able to make your order right and whole!
