Chrome Plated wheels
When I had my tire off the rim for repair, there was a label inside of the rim stating that the chrome was accomplished by a plating shop in Kentucky. I should have looked at the nomenclature on the outside of the rim for the place of manufacture. Probably China? Is this common?
