Had Opti-Coat Pro Plus on the body and wheels and Optimum on the interior about 10 days prior to Carlisle. Awesome product. Car has never had or maintained such a shine.

I did GTechniq CSL + EXOv4 myself, and think it was a good move. The car looks great, stays clean longer, and is much easier to wash.

I had superpolysteel ceramic coating applied. So far a basic hosing of the finish everything just washes right off, without any direct contact with the surface. That said, so far it has just been summer dust n bugs.

Pro
Coating
I had mine done a few month ago, professionally with GTECHNIQ. The car looks great. It doesn't water spot, except when I wash it due to the high mineral content of our well water. Made the Watkins Glenn Grey look a lot deeper! Highly recommended!

Xpel first about 80% of the car, Ceramic coating 100% of the car. They make a special spray on just for ceramic coating that makes it shine like it does

Seems to defeat one purpose of having Xpel I would think

I can tell you I used Cquartz on the ceramic coating and that I use reload to polish it up after washing and it looks really good.

I went to Autogeek and reviewed their tutorials, bought one of their ceramic coating packages, and did the ceramic coating myself. The results were fantastic and it's not really expensive (just labor intensive).

You do wrap then coating. That way your Xpel or whatever is protected.
If I had to pick between coatings or Xpel, I would do Xpel. Only Xpel or similar brand will stop rocks and road rash. The coating really just helps with maintenance. To be honest, I'm not sure it was worth the $1,300 (including wheels and brakes) for CQ Quartz which is one of the top brands. Not having to wax it after every car wash is nice, but not earth shattering. The Xpel is much better money spent.
