Default Using a C7 convertible in a parade

does anyone know if it is safe for a female teenager to sit on the convertible top deck lid during a parade?
Is it likely to damage the lid, with the weight of someone sitting on it for 30 minutes in a parade?

Unless she’s grossly overweight it’s not a problem.

Put something non-skid on the lid to keep the rider from sliding forward on braking or rearward on acceleration (It doesn't take much - most of our Corvettes are heavily waxed & polished and can be VERY slippery, even at moderate throttle). I have used a piece of the non-skid matting that you put in your tool chest drawers, it works great. And be sure to tell any beauty queens to lose the high heels so they don't puncture your seats. Other than that, have fun and enjoy the parade!

No idea. Maybe it was a static cling sign?

Thanks for the reply’s about using my convertible in a high school parade. Just needed some assurance. Thanks for the tip about using the non skid material for her to sit on.

The car should be fine in the parade. As mentioned, just ensure that the person riding on the deck lid doesn’t go slipping off.

I used a rubber bathroom mat and it worked fine. Also put blankets down on the seat and middle compartment section to keep heels from damaging the leather.

Spike heels and the shoes come off. Any other shoe is fine but I cover the console with towels and the seat is slid all the way forward to give them a little legroom and I put towels on the exposed seat track to make sure they don't hurt their feet. Many beauty queens in/on the car and they have no problem taking off their shoes.
