Purchased Range and it quit working and sent to Range and they replaced/reprogrammed for no charge. Satisfied with module and customer service.

Oh they'll do it... On my dime. I'm sure GM won't pay for it without issues present. The quote I got was a little over $300 for the triple flush. Well worth it, I think. I need to have the alignment checked since I've dropped it on the stock bolts, so I'll have it done all together.

that's similar to my dilemma. My 2015 A8 (built on the 2nd day of production) has never shown any of the TC issues, though I am only driving it around 2k miles per year.

This triple flush may take care of my fear of future TC/Tranny failure... but I have had ZERO of symptoms; now at 8K miles.
So instead of trying to lie to/bribe the dealer into doing the flush - under warranty - I just went with the Range device.

Not trying to lie or bribe in any way... I said I'd be paying for it on my dime. I had already gotten a quote for it a couple months ago for a different A8 I was considering, but ended up not purchasing. The triple flush is just over $300. No biggie.

I also plan to do both the flush AND the Range.

As others have said, the Range device will not disappoint. If I were in your shoes, I'd try it first.
