Rent your Vette?
I used to own a C5 50th anniversary edition. I sold it in July last year (interestingly to Ben Affleck's Batman stunt double - totally random). I used the money to fund our move from California to Georgia. I've been supporting my fiancee and I financially for two years now on a special education teacher's salary -_-. We're getting married on Thursday October 11, 2018 in Cedartown, GA.
Here comes the ask: Does anyone in the Atlanta area use TURO and or is willing to rent their corvette to me? It would be from Thursday morning until Friday afternoon ish. It would basically be parked from 2pm-9pm at the venue on Thursday. I always imagined I would ride away in my corvette for my wedding. The ones currently on Turo all require minimum 2 full day rentals with limited miles and total price around $400. I just can't justify spending that much. The venue is approximately 60 miles northwest of Atlanta.
No one has to tell me that it's a looooooooong shot. I already know. Please reach out if you're willing and able!
Here is the link to our wedding site: there's pics of my old car somewhere on there.

I'll bet when your day gets close and you don't have a Corvette and Enterprise doesn't have one to rent, you'll kick yourself for not spending the $350, and will be willing to pay more. In my life of experience, I found that things cost what they cost. I learned to pay the money to get what I want. Just reserve the car, and if you later find a better deal, cancel it.
I'm almost certain no Corvette owner can justify risking letting you drive their car, not even for $400. I found it surprising, but most new car dealerships rent cars. its their demo vehicles. My insurance company sent me to one to get a loaner to drive, and they paid the rental fee. They do it at either the Service or parts counter.
