The Grays - Can You Tell The Difference
I thought it would be interesting to compare Cyber Gray Metallic, Watkins Glen Gray Metallic and the new Shadow Gray Metallic on the C7 Corvette under showroom lighting.
Can you see the differences?

Shadow Gray should be called Shadow Blue. Clearly blue to my eyes. Cyber gray looks well, gray. Watkins Glen has a greenish tint to it.
I prefer Watkins Gray or Shadow Gray over Cyber Gray for their blueish and greenish tints they add to the gray.

If you get up close and personal with CGM, you'll see there is actually a lot of blue fleck in the paint.
Although I own a CGM, I do like the bluer tint of Shadow Grey.
On the other hand, IMHO, CGM is relatively close to the color of an actual stingray, so it appeals to the diver in me....

My 2014 is Cyber Gray. Photos don't do it justice. Put in sunlight and holy molly. What a color!!!!!

My career is color correction and retouching in Photoshop, so I can definitely spot the subtle differences in color when they are all together, but in the real world the 4 different grays on the C7 are so similar that it would be hard to tell which is which if I just saw one of them on it's own. I really don't understand why GM keeps coming up with new versions of gray that aren't drastically different than the previous one. Seems like a complete waste of time to me.

to the best of my recollection - the difference between CGM and Shark Grey is where CGM has blue fleck, shark grey does not. Instead of blue, shark grey has gold - giving it a beige undertone.
Again drawing from some dive experience, the color is similar to shark skin.

Shark Gray's color difference is more significant than the others pictured (lighter)...which is my guess for why it isn't in the comparison group. Speaking of which...
It looks like WGG is the lightest of the three, which I find hard to believe since I own one and it comes off as a dark Berol Prismacolor Cool Gray. It might be the photo angle (particularly near the front light), so who knows...? Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to see a Cyber Gray in person, and I don't know of anyone who owns one...so it'd be difficult to get an up close and personal comparison.
PS: Shout outs to Berol Prismacolor markers. Expensive, but I still have some colors that still work perfectly after buying them in the early to mid 90s.

Love the way SGM looks in different lighting. The sun hits it just right and you can see a hint of bronze which really messes with the eyes for a bit in the best way. Glad they never used this color on anything else.

I have a 2018 GS in WGGM and love it, especially in the sun. I still remember last summer one of the trainers in my health club coming in and telling me he really liked the green shade of my new Vette. After he mentioned, and I went out, I realized that the WGGM metallic definitely has a greenish tint to it!
