Drive on lift
Is it a problem installing an Xpipe on a drive on lift? Considering doing it myself on our neighbors.

Thanks guys. I’ll talk to him and make sure it fits. I’m keeping my stock one just in case it’s an issue with emissions. They just do the computer check here. Since it’ll still have the monitored cats it shouldn’t be an issue.

Speaking of drive-on lifts.....should I insist on a drive-on lift for routine maintenance, like oil changes? Many of the dealerships in my area use 4 point lifts and I’m just not comfortable with that.

Depends on the state. Here in Texas they plug into your OBD port and look for faults. Since the mid pipe is downstream from the O2 sensors the car will not report any problem. Even if you do remove the cats the system can be fooled with exhaust/O2 sensor hacks.

Are you saying that they are visually inspected with cameras? Unless they really know their ****, I bet that most of them would not even know that the factory x-pipe is supposed to have a set of cats in it, especially if you still retain the primary cats.
