Last week I finally got around to wiping down my '16 C7 to detail before covering, and noticed a crack in the windshield, in the upper left portion (drivers side). It is in the glass, a horizontal crack with no chip on the outside? I thought I had read that several C'7's had experienced this? I can obviously have covered under my insurance, but wondered what would have caused this, as my car was purchased in Aug'15 and has less than 4K miles, and obviously not used much. It's a Z51, 3LT and concerned about problems after replacement.
Thanks, Ray

That would be a warranty item for you. This is a known issue. Had to do with the locator tabs that locate the windshield when it is installed on the assembly line. (sometimes welding slag) Recommendation from GM was to cut off the tabs when installing by hand. It has nothing to do with temps, speed or loads of any kind.
