Can anyone recommend a good source for purchasing a Chevrolet Platinum Protection Plan for a 2016 Stingray Coupe. Looking at 7yrs/75,000 and 7yrs/100,000 miles zero and $100ded. This is for California residents. Looked through the threads and contacted Rich Willhoff (Abel Chevy), Bradley Chevy, Smith auto group Indiana and James Black Cadillac. Dennis Fitchner doesn't sell to California, Any other sources?
Not exactly. In California a extended warranty is considered an insurance policy. So you need somebody that is licensed in California as either an resident insurance agent or a non resident insurance agent. There is nothing keeping warranty sellers in other states from getting their states insurance license and than adding California as a non resident state on their license. Adds a part of a second step, but not out of the question.
There was a time when a factory extended warranty was considered a warranty not an insurance policy, but I expect that the Ca DOI figured out pretty quickly that GM no longer owns GMEPP and it is in fact administered by an insurance company not GM, so added it to this requirement.
