Default Mike Furman / Criswell Corvette

I’ve read a lot of comments from forum members on how great Mike Furman at Criswell is to deal with. Well a couple of Saturdays ago, my wife and I made a 7 hour round trip down to see Mike and his vast Corvette collection.

Mike was busy that day delivering 2 new Corvettes to customers. He met us as we got out of the car and took us down the row of Vettes. He said take a look and he’d be right back. A few minutes later, Mike came back with 2 sets of keys for a AT and MT. He pulled them out of the parking spots and went over a few things. Then handed me the keys and told us to take them for a quick ride, as he was going back to one of the customers taking delivery. I’ve never had a dealer hand me the keys to any vehicle and not want to go with us and jabber the whole time. My local dealer wouldn’t even let me test drive one of the 4 Vettes he had on the lot until I put down a deposit on an order (I didn’t like any of the ones they had on the lot).

Mike took the time to answer all of our questions, was very patient and never once made us feel like we were under any pressure at all. As I was still a little unsure on colors, he told us to go home, think it over and call/email him with any questions. Over the next week or so, I emailed Mike a couple times and he always got back to me right away.

Yesterday, I called Mike and placed the order on a 19 Grand Sport in Long Beach Red! Again, super nice on the phone and made sure all of my questions were answered.

To say Mike is a great guy might be a big understatement! He has won my trust and respect for sure. I will probably be buying all my vehicles off of Mike in the future.

Great story detailing your experience with Mike Furman, who always seems to go way above and beyond for his customers, no matter what part of the USA they reside.

Your second post here on the forum, so "Welcome to the forum!"

There is a reason why Mike has sold over 4000 Vettes. Customer service is a big part of that reason. Congrats on the order of your C7.

We live in Indiana and local Penske dealer could not order us a car (said it was too late in the model run) A quick call to Mike, two days later all the paper work was done and 6 weeks later a build. I've never purchased a car so easily.

Good story
I have never bought a car from Mike but when I call he will give me the information I need. I met Mike at the Corvette Bash in April and and found out he is as nice a guy in person as he is on the phone. His pictures and stories on Sunday morning are always part of my routine! The Corvette family is lucky to have Mike Furman!!!

It's hard to believe there aren't too many like Mike. His formula is nothing but common sense customer interaction, do-able by most anyone. The desire has to be there, and in Mike's case, he has it down pat.

Congrats on the new C7!!
Did you choose the stick or automatic? My wife and I probably be making a trip there to check out a C7. Not sure which way I will go. Thought about the automatic but not sure if there are still issues going on with that. Just was checking to see what you decided on. Thanks.,

Default A short story

Back in late 2013...I fell in love with the styling of the new 2014 C7 Corvette..(.having not owned one since 1980 a 66 coupe) Torch Red in the showroom. I stopped in one morning, was looking at the car which had been blocked off with ropes to prevent access to "tire kickers"? I introduced myself to the approaching salesman...told him I was interested in purchasing a new Vette and that I am a GMS / GM salaried / retiree employee.
I asked him if I could take a closer look at the car and sit in the vehicle to get the feel of the car, and view the interior..he refused to allow me to sit in the vehicle...I politely told him if that was the way this dealership treated potential customers...he could stick the vehicle where the sun dont shine ...and I would take my business elsewhere...and I walked out I now am on my 3rd C7 ..a 2019 GS ...but dealing with a customer friendly Chevy dealership!

Mike is one of those guys who you never forget! I was lucky to be invited to his spring mountain event October 1st and 2nd. When I arrived there September 30th, Mike made sure I knew what was going on the whole time with dinners and events threwout my stay, even relaxed by a fire with him and got to know him even better. Sometimes people just click if you know what I mean and Mike made me feel that way. Thanks again mike! -Kev

Toby at Tony’s Corvette shop (another man and shop I highly recommend) suggested I deal with Mike for a new Corvette. The transaction started at 9:15 am and I drove out the door at 10:15! The best car salesman I have ever dealt with. He continues to offer great service AFTER the car is purchased. I have texted or emailed a question or two and his responses are almost immediate. On one occasion he made a short video and sent it to me ( I attempted to find the answer on this forum, online and at the local dealership...). Any new car or truck purchases will start here for me.

Met Mike at Carlisle in 2016.

bought my z06 from him 2 months later.

my buddy the following week.

we both live more than 3 hrs away.

Mike is like an old friend even thought we just met. Friendship for life.

so much more to buying a Corvette than the price btw. This is a luxury, a toy (for most). Tht buying experience should resemble the cars purpose not just like buying a Chevy SUV...

I would never buy a new vette from anyone else as long as hes selling them.

nice thread OP. Wish you the best on your c7 purchase.

IMike Furman is first and foremost a Corvette lover and owner — just like we are. He currently has his 19th, a 1967 Marina Blue coupe.

He is one of those rare persons who has taken his Corvette passion and make it is career. The reason why he is the # 1 Corvette sale person ever, is that he loves the Corvette. Couple that with his personal kindness and integrity, and his liking people, that is why he is “Mr. 4000” (though now his selling around 4,150 Corvette).

I have had my deposit for a mid engine with Mike since Feb. 1, 2015.

Great to see another thread sharing a wonderful buying experience from Mike Furman.

Reading this thread, it is about another very happy Mike@Criswell customer. However, that is not surprising to those of us who know, have bought from, and/or will buy from Mike.

And BTW, also the reason why he has currently the biggest list, time-and-date-stamped, of those who are wanting a 2020 mid engine Corvette. Yet, because of his huge allocation, he will not only be able to easily accomodate all on his list, but way over 100+ more who next sign up — all getting their 2020 ME from Mike.
