I also associate that color with people over 60, which is why you see it on Lexus, Cadillac, Lincoln and Mercedes.
So you mean like most Corvette owners too!

Its also on GM pick up trucks and suv's.

Ford has a version on its pick ups and suv's also. My F-150 is a pearl white. When my Arctic white C7 was parked next to my F-150 after both were washed, the truck looked dirty compared to the Stingray.

I have owned corvettes since 86. My first new one was 2014, before I was 50. For a while I wondered why I could not get the white pearl on the Corvette. However the longer I had my Arctic White 14, the more I realized it was a much better and brighter color for the car.

Correct. I think its the best color I have seen on a C7, black rose is a close second.

Default Why no pearl white

Ceramic matrix grey is a white pearl, just over a darker tinted white base.

I disagree. I parked my old 14 Arctic white next to my new Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic. Made the CMGM look closer to blue than white

Pearl white seems more appropriate and appealing on a luxury car, a luxury vehicle, but not so much a bad *** color that would be on a bad *** car.

Can I get an amen to that my brothers !?! (LOL)

I know I like it on my "limited production, luxurious, over 60 target buyer" Ram pick up!

I agree. I performed a side-by-side dealership comparison before I ordered my Arctic White Z06 and the CMGM definitely had a blue-ish tint. Too bad GM no longer offers the Twilight Blue interior as I think that would match well with CMGM.

Just saw a pearl white Ferrari 812 yesterday. One of the nicest colors I’ve seen. I like a bright regular white but this was awesome.
Although it cost a heck of a lot more than chevys $995 “premium” that’s charged for a few of chevys colors.

Default Why no pearl white

you guys are funny? You parked a white car next to it, so CMG looks bluer, my point was it's probably 95+% white tint from the mixing machine, or if water base, from the tint cans. The rest would be, my guess, a blue tinted black for the base, and the a small size zirrillic pearl coat for the mid coat. Park a black car next to it, it will look white again.

Well the OP asked for thoughts / opinions so, being from Texas, you know I got some.Pearl any color is dam nice, and if you got the money you can make em any color you want. "We'll paint any car any color for $99" (LOL).Personally (opinion here) Ceramic Grey looks like a dirty white car to me. I'd love to see the Green, and the Chocolate brown colors available. The interior colors are what are missing (again opinion) Blue, White, or Green interiors, oh baby!

Default Careful What You Ask For

Other car mfg forums have tons of posts about issues with this color type. Our Toyota RAV4 is Blizzard White same idea. Didn't know until signed up at the RAV4 Forum. Howdy stranger. Lexus/Toyota, Honda, etc all have had adhesion issues with pearl white. Maybe Japanese cars, maybe the process, maybe........ But real today and ignored by those mfgs universally. A see no evil deal. We have our fingers crossed on this one.

At the risk of insulting some Ceramic Matrix Gray owners, to me it looks similar to when someone takes a picture of a white car and the white balance is off on their camera. Sorry.

- I even see a hint of blue in it...which is why I think they added such blue toned stripes and lettering...

Pearl white is good on Cadillacs, Denalis and F150 Platinums/Limiteds, not sports cars.

Same here not trying to insult or offend anyone as it's just personal preference, but to me CMG looks "colorless". Not quite white, not quite gray, not quite blue, but the color of the sky on a cloudless overcast day.

Based on pictures I have to agree. Now I haven't seen one in person, in daylight, so can't really judge. However I get that same feeling from Midnight Race Blue, which might as be black from a distance. Up close its an intresting color but honestly its black with a blue tint, so not for me.

My wife had a pearl white Volvo for awhile. Along with black its on my do-not-buy-again list. White never looks truly clean and when your done waxing or polishing its still just white. Black is also difficult to keep clean and shows every little flaw... but when its all polished up it looks awesome.

I like strong colors in my cars, I've owned: green (2X), yellow, blue (2X), orange and red (3X). My truck is silver (blah!) but I got that on purpose because I don't spend much (if any) time on cleaning it, just a quick rinse off every now and then.

MAACO painted my 1956 Ford Mainline 2dr Post for $39.95. I passed on the add on $10 to do under the hood/trunk lid and door jambs. 1962 Chevy Monaco Blue, it looked great at night from twenty feet.
