after a 7 week wait I just picked this up. 2019 grand sport in ceramic grey 2lt with grey interior. I have a couple questions:
memory: do I have to hold the button and wait for everything to go to position or is there a setting that lets you just push the button and release?
I didn't order or pay for the carbon flash ground effects package but my rear spoiler and rockers are painted carbon flash, did I get lucky?
The memory seats - you should only have to push and hold when you're setting the features. You can then just push 1 / 2 to get back to those settings. The skirts and spoiler come that way for the GS unless you opt into another package

its not working like that, I have to hold it in. does the car have to be started? I haven't tried it that way yet.

Push the far left button once and QUICKLY press and hold the 1/2 button until you hear 2 beeps.
If I remember correctly I just set it up (at the dealer) and then push 1 or 2. Just looked up the manual and the ignition needs to be in the "on" position - check that?
Before saving, adjust all available memory feature positions. Turn the ignition on and then press and release SET; a beep will sound.
Then immediately press and hold 1, 2, or B (Exit) until two beeps sound. To manually recall these positions, press and hold 1, 2, or Buntil the saved position is reached.

nah, not working that way at all. car on, car off...I have to hold it. it also says in the manual to hold it in. why in the world would they change something like that is beyond me.
Make sure the seat isn't ALL the way back. I've found that if my seat is ALL the way back, the memory function doesn't work. If I nudge the button forward just a tiny bit, then every time my memory feature works. I did put sound deadening material behind the seat on that vertical surface, so when the seat automatically retracts, it goes all the way back and pushes on the foam, which in turn pushes on the sensor wires back underneath the carpet.
I've now gotten in the habit of nudging the seat button forward, when I get out of the car. Issue is solved for me.....
from the manual, I guess I could set it up to the key fob but I usually like to back the seat out pretty far to get in and out so I reaching the pedals would be doable but uncomfortable:

You need to set up Auto Memory Recall in the InfoTainment setup screen if you want the memory to be automatically called (1 or 2 depending on FOB sensed)
Congratulations, Although I am not a manual type of guy, there are so many things you can do in the car with all of the electronics I may have to read the manual, Good Luck may it serve you well, I am a new owner also with an 18 and i cant believe this is made by the same folks who brought us the vega, and the Chevette .
Nice car. Congrats. I remember riding in my parent's car in the early 1960's and passing Micciche on route 73. Was a huge junkyard back then, somewhere between Marlton and Berlin. Saw that sign in your photo and couldn't believe it's still around.
