Default Splash guard install??

when installing the splash guards should the front tabs be exposed under the body or sandwiched in?

I removed both front and didn’t make note. As for the rear ones they appear to be sandwiched. Any advice would help.

Lower tab in question.

Gm factory splash guard installed by me. Unsure of tab. Is this correct?

Default Rear Splash inner fastener.

New splash shield!
Made in China (no fastner).

For the rear, instructions make no mention of inner fastener needing to be transferred over.

Ok. There's a lot of OP in your paint - I was hopeful the new paint shop improved the quality. Apparently not

That's the bottom tab, correct? Unless something changed on the 2019 MY, the tab mounts under an existing bolt

I’m not sure, the front splash shields did not have fastners on the tabs and mounted below.

for the rear it appears there are fastners attached to the tabs and they are sandwiched in. Checking the other side now.

So i had to transfer the fastner over to the splash shield being installed.

Top side.

Locking fastner attached directly to tab.

Did you only have to transfer the faster for the rears?

Yes,,only the rears. The front don't have a metal tab. The plastic piece on the bottom goes on the outside on the front.

Speaking of splash guards, how hard is it to install front splash guards on a Grand Sport? Do you need any special tools?

Same installation as above, takes about 10 minutes.
