Default Key Fob Memory ?

Is there anyway to keep the car's key memory features from getting confused when both keys are in the car? I am driver 1, and my wife is driver 2. I open the door for her and she gets in, I then walk around to the drivers side and get in. When I go to start it up, the car reads her key sitting in her purse on the floor.
I've have other cars that have electronic keys, and the cars have never gotten confused (Benz SL550, INFINITI M37S, and Honda Accord). When I would get in on the drivers side, the cars would read my key and adjust everything accordingly.

Thanks
Dale

Since she gets in first it probably recognizes her fob first.

If your wife doesn't need her fob often you could put it in a RFI bag or wrap in foil, etc.

Wouldn't a good engineering solution be to put a switch on the key such that the wife could switch it off until such time as she intends to drive?

Our problem also, and our previous C6 had the problem only very occasionally.
One of many "improvements" that come out with the C7.

The quick & cheap wrap with aluminum foil works very well when I go on trips & pack the spare in my bag which stays in car while making "pit stops".

The first fob recognized by the car wins. I had the same problem.

If your wife only drives occasionally set both memories to your settings. Or - turn off memory recall and use the door buttons.
