If you don't wanna go full on Ceramic (aka the Terra Shield product mentioned by Skid Row, just one of about a zillion Ceramic/Quartz/Glass coating products released in the last few years) Gyeon Can Coat is a nice, relatively inexpensive 'coating lite' product, video below. It holds up well, has great self cleaning and candy-gloss characteristics and if maintained with a SiO2 infused shampoo like Gyeon Bathe+, you'll likely get well over 6 months out of it. It's a very, very nice option if you don't wanna go ceramic. Like everything though, YMMV based upon maint. habits, usage pattern of car and also climate.
I was a Zaino zealot for many years, nice looks (to some) but it doesn't offer protection from even the slightest environmental contamination; one of ceramics greatest attributes (IMO) is the ability to withstand bird bombs, water spot etching and such. Vendors will tout ceramic coatings at 'eleventy-billionH' hardness and mutli-year longevity but those are 2 of the most over-hyped aspects of it; it WILL get scratched much like unprotected paint if subject to an old bath towel wipe-down but does kinda help with very, very light marring. As with all things in the care care arena, research is your best friend and with all the talk in the last few years regarding coatings, it appears that the hype surrounding a product is inversely proportional to the products actual performance. Things that claim to be the ultimate car product are usually anything but.
FWIW, all of my cars are coated (DIY) and the ease of maint and consistency of good appearance are unmatched by waxes or sealants.
