Battery recommendation
2016 Stingray Z51 factory battery is giving out. Any recommendations on a replacement? Would like to go with something other than a Delco but don't want any fitment issues. Thanks.
I know you said not Delco, but I just put in the 42 Month Delco Gold. Full 42 month replacement - not prorated. Original battery lasted me 4.5 years and it was never on a battery tender.
Mine is almost always on a tender and I just had it replaced for peace of mind. Going on four years and went with the OEM battery because the car is only used on weekends and I don’t drive it enough to justify anything more expensive. The original did just fine during the time it was in.
Any battery Group 48 will fit. I just installed a NAPA 8448 in both my '14 Corvette and '14 Acadia. The Delco battery was 660 CCA, NAPA is 730 CCA. Just make sure replacement battery at least 660 CCA.

Reason: .
As long as you go with a like "group size" any manufacturer will fit, however make sure you replace it with one that meets or exceeds manufacturer's OEM specification cold cranking amps.
I sold a haft dozen or more different battery brands through my auto parts stores over the years, however have always put Delcos in my Corvettes.
I've been driving Corvettes for almost 30 years as daily drivers - amassing more than 700,000 miles - OEM batteries all the way. Why fix what ain't broke?
I got the AGM from Advanced Auto. Fits perfectly. It also has handles to make installation/removal easy.
Installed the same in my 2014. No problems and fit perfectly. Love the built in handles. A lot of people like this one from Batteries Plus. I intended to get one but the nearest store is almost 2 hours away and I needed a battery quickly.
Most aftermarket car batteries sold in the U.S. are made by three companies that build them for retailers: Johnson Controls, which supplies more than half of the market; Exide; and East Penn. They are sold under various names and built to the specifications of retailers, so performance can vary. Most stores will test, install, and match a battery to your car’s needs.

I agree, I just got a Delco 42 month Gold, can't beat the 42 month free replacement.
