A Good Whack on the halo and rear window inside trim!
I found and solved one! At first I thought it was the roof panel, but, from the driver's seat, I found that if I lifted my right hand and pushed up on what the Service Manual calls the ""Headlining Rear Trim Panel", the noise would stop.... I ended up going home and giving all areas of it a good "whack" to make sure all the fasteners were well seated, then did the same on what the Service Manual calls the "Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel" (passenger side). So far, the rattle is gone! YMMV. (Keeping my fingers crossed!)
[These are what some call the "Halo" panel trim (on the inside) and the inside trim around the small fixed rear window.] Good luck!

Reason: Corrected "than" to "then".

I have a rattle that temporarily goes away if my wife (in the passenger seat) applies pressure to these 2 panels. Rattle seems to come from either where the seat belt retracts or the targa top on the passenger side. It’s very sensitive to road conditions, for example on smooth pavement in Touring mode it’s almost unnoticeable but in Track mode or rough pavement it’s annoying.
I had a rattle that was driving me nuts. It seemed to be coming from the dash or vents or....... could NOT locate it. Took it to a buddy at the Chevy house who is 6'6".... he's sort of cramped in the seat, but he's tall enough that he located the rattle driving no farther than about 150': sun visor... plastic against plastic....
