I think release ofvthe Geand Sport also slows Z06 sales being as the cars are almost identucal except for HP. It is the reason tge Z06 is released first typically. The Gm goal is to keep sales up until the next gen, also the reason ZR1 is released ladt to grab buyers who want the most late in tge cycle.
OK...enlighten those of us who don’t know what you are talking about. Hard GM sales numbers would help. Thanks.
What i mean is, i see so many ZO6’s for sale. If not, take a look, i dont have hard numbers i use my eyes, and they seem to be a ton of them for sale.
If not, enlighten me......
1000 of them on cars.com, used or new, that seems like a lot

Boy. If you want to go buy how many if a car are on cars.com for sale? Dont search for others!
think about that for a minute. There are 682 911s for sale new...in your head (at least mine) I would have never guessed there were less than 2x amount of new Z06's for sale as 911s...
1189 Z06s. Anywhere... entire country.
yet there are more than 6000 new corvettes for sale.
So figure about 5000 NON Z06s. Z06 only representing Roughly 19% of new corvettes for sale.. Where's the anomaly?
and if you were wondering what the absolute cheapest new 911s are in the country. Here.
20k higher starting than a Z06 with no where near the performance (base 911). And let's not touch the highest priced you could have 4 Z06s for one of those. .
Ok, whatever you guys say. Just see a lot of them for sale.
Why does any of this matter? Did we buy our cars because we really love the way they look and perform or was it because we hoped they would never lose value. Go buy some land if you want to buy something that won't depreciate. Unlike Corvettes they aren't building any new land now.
i think anyone trying to buy a new one at a great price may be disappointed. Last year in November GM announced 20% off every 2017 Z06. This year the only special GM is offering to date is 0% financing. A mega dealer sent a me a sale email this week, and the only discount he was offering was 15% off his last 2018 Z06. GM must be pleased with the sales of current production, cause alot better deals were to be had last year.

where r u going with this?
r u in the market? It’s a great time for buyers. Clearly u can go older, but I believe the “steal” right now is the leftover new / almost new (<1000mi) ‘17MY M7.
Want to get out of the market? It’s a nervous time for sellers.
student of the market? Interesting times.
will my Z06 depreciate? Almost certainly. I bought mine because I plan to enjoy it into my old age!
srsly, there are multi years of z06 on the c7 platform available (‘15-‘19) and I think mainly, you are just seeing that market now because you’re looking.
Do some people want to sell / upgrade now that there is a ZR1 to buy, and they’re not sure how much longer it’ll be produced? Clearly some have..
Do some people want to sell before the C8 ME come out and impacts C7 prices? Probably some will.

Agreed. Last year at this time there were big incentives. I bought my 2017 Stingray for 20% off. When I looked to upgrade to a Grand Sport there were really no deals so I just ordered one exactly the way I wanted for the same money. Less actually than a lot of the the cars on the lot that had options I didn't care for.

Yeah, the GS probably eats into the Z06 sales a little bit. If you look at the sales figures for 2017 when the GS was released about 36% sold were GS, 41% Stingray and 23% Z06. It took sales from both the Stingray and Z06 models.
If they announce the release of the C8 in January you can count on significant discounts on new C7s. That's what I'm waiting for. I, like many others I have spoken with, want to see the details on the C8 before going with a plan of buying a Z06, or ZR1. So far I'm not liking the looks of the C8 renderings. If I wanted a rear end like the C8 renderings I would buy a Camaro. Nothing wrong with Camaro, but the cars should have their own distinct designs.

The C8 might crush everything. Thats why maybe GM will hold off as long as possible.
look at C6-ZR1 prices, they are
droppping fast. Thats my next and last Vette.
There all great

I have been a Vette owner since 2004; 1 C5, 3 C6's and 2 C7's; none of them Z06's (one C6 was a '12 GS 3LT conv. 7 MT) and there has always been
a steady stream of Z's for sale out of proportion to their sales figures when new. My theory? Bought by older guys who get glazed over by the HP ratings
and find it less than a comfortable drive over time. Then they want something a little easier to live with/drive...just my theory without any additional proof.

That's what the wife, and I are waiting for also Joe. If we don't like the look of the C8 we're just going to buy a new last year, or gently used garage queen C7 GS.
If the C8 is going to be rear-wheel-drive they're not going to have anything in common so that's not going to affect the price on a C7 at all. The C8 is going to be priced somewhere between $90,000 -$100,000 apples and oranges !!!!!!!
