Default Paint issue on new Z06

I just received my factory ordered zo6 on Friday. While looking it over I realize the paint has little white circles all over the hood and front end. Anyone ever see this or know what it is? Color is torch red and I had delivered to house so I wasn’t able to look over at dealership

There ya go...

Looks like some liquid sprayed on the paint and dried. Have you tried cleaning them off?

Or it might have etched into the clear coat. Is this a new or used car? Either way, you need to send these pics to the dealer you purchased from to start the process I would guess

That's not good, have you reported the issue to your Chevy dealer?

Dealer can easily buff that out. Transport trucks and trains drive under some nasty bridges dripping all types of shet.

Yep looks familiar. Had about half dozen on my 2019 Admiral Blue Grand Sport delivered in late August. My dealer was able to remove them with no trouble. Don't really know what they were.

Since the cars are transported with shipping covers is it possible this is something that happened at the dealer? I know the covers aren't real heavy duty but they would at least absorb some of a drip. Did you keep the shipping cover? That could possibly show the drips and give a better idea of what the source might be.

Funny you posted this because I literally had the same thing on my 2019 torch red Z06 I took delivery of last week. Most of them buffed out. Not sure what they were.

Is it possible it is road salt? Most of the North East USA had that huge snow storm last week.

I had a few of those on my new GS in april - a little polishing compound and some spirited buffing and they came out.

Try washing it and some detail spray and report back. Take it back to dealer for an assistance and assessment if that doesn't work.
The c7s, are shipped in covered rail cars, so no thing's going to drip on them. All c7s, also are shipped in car covers. Regardless, nothing's going to drip on the finishes until uncovering at the dealer.

Actually the last part of that isn't true. I have personally unwrapped cars that came in off the truck from the factory when I was at Boardwalk and there was dirt and sometimes even road salt under the cover. It really depends on when GM puts the car cover on. Plus keep in mind that sometimes the covers blow off while on the truck. That happened to about 5% to 10% of the vehicles we received when I worked at Boardwalk. Also I'm not trying to start anything here. LOL! I'm just letting you know what I experienced while I was at the dealership.

I guess he's going to have to go back step by step to do as I suggested first. Then, go from there. If it's a QC issue with GM, then they'll have to cover it. All C7s leave Bowling Green with covers. So, that's 100% true. What individuals in transport do after that shipping to the dealer isn't the customers fault. Unless you're not willing to take responsibility for any damages.

Yes you are correct and the dealership he bought it from should take care of it for him. If I sold that car, I would take care of it either with the dealership or with GM under warranty.
