Default How to care for Xpel?

I just had Xpel installed, haven't decided what products I should be using on it. What are others using?

In for advise.
Comment...watch the edges.
Over time mine has developed a wax line (that isn't wax) and I use a paper business card to clean along the edge.
Comment...Is Meguaires (sp) plastic polish a good product for Xpel?

Xpel basically says anything that doesn't contain petroleum is fine

(I've used Meguiar's NXT 2.0 for years on Xpel Ultimate with great results)

XPel has their own product that is reasonable in cost and works well. It is a liquid wax type product that makes the surface real slick and bugs come off really easy. Since it's their own you don't have to worry about it harming the surface or yellowing. You can order it off their web site.

XPel actually says that up to a certain amount of petroleum distillates in the wax/cleaner/etc is ok, I think it's 10%. Most products contain more than that. But I haven't seen anyone complaining about damage from non-approved products.

I like the XPel cleaner but didn't like their sealant at all- our car is Long beach Red, perhaps other colors work better with the sealant.

Have used any high quality wax/sealer that I have in my cabinet. Never had an issue over many years. Definitely makes cleaning and washing easier.

Here is what Xpel's web site states:

While you can wax the film, be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and also avoid waxes that contain dyes. For best results, we recommend using our XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant. This product has been specially formulated for use with polyurethane paint protection films to provide the maximum protection and gloss, while containing no ingredients that would cause discoloration over time. To order the film sealant please visit http://www.xpel.com/aftercare-products-tools/page/2/

My installer gave me a bottle of stuff. I have three cars with Xpel so now have three bottles.
They'll last for years since the surface is already pretty slick and its not a daily driver anyway.

50% solution of Simple Green for initial clean, Xpel stuff for finish is my method...I don't think Simple Green has petro in it.

I use whatever I am using on the car, nothing special at all... just treat it like paint and mine has been great for 3 years... I used to put Rejex on it but someone here said Rejex might yellow it, my car is yellow so I have no idea, maybe it matches better now. Currently it has 3 coats of CQuartz UK and Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz and soon to be BLACKFIRE SiO2 Spray Sealant.

Default How to Care for XPEL

I had XPEL installed on my 2016 C7 and have only used the XPEL Flawless Finish protection film sealant which
I purchased from the installer. Unfortunately, after two and one-half years the XPEL has begun yellowing,
even though the car is garaged. To their credit, XPEL is going to replace ALL of the XPEL consistent
with their 10 year guarantee against yellowing. I still highly recommend the XPEL.

Mine had Suntek installed by original owner (bumper to bumper), then a ceramic coating.
I use this to maintain the coating: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hydrosilex-...d=123381863209
