I searched this topic, but didn't see what I was looking for. For those who do their own service work, which floorjack do you use? I know it has to be a low profile jack and was looking for recommendations. I refuse to use a harbor freight or another el-cheapo Chinese brand from a local parts store. Also, I realize I will need the jack plugs for my car and I am NOT interested in purchasing a garage lift (Quicklift??). I am not looking to spend that much money. Maybe 2-300 dollars. Thanks!
Well, you may want to reconsider thinking the Harbor Freight jack is "el-cheapo" cause you couldn't be further from the truth...and I think you will have several other folks here agree with me...to spend $200 to $300 on a jack is insane when the LOW PROFILE jack at Harbor is a 3 ton jack and is around $80 when on sale...you want to spend more - go right ahead!

Thanks, but I have had no luck with jacks from them in the past. The valves tend to leak down while under pressure and that is something I would rather not deal with.
Love my HF too, especially the foot pedal feature for jacking in confined space next to a wall where jack handle travel is a problem. Had mine a year and a half and used it on 2 cars and a truck with no issues. I sold Blackhawk, Walker and Chinese models in my Auto Parts stores for years and really didn't have issue with any of them. The Chinese manufacturer models typically cost a third of what the Blackhawk and Walker jacks costs.
