I've seen a few Corvettes and other cars with painted windshield columns/A-pillars and I thought it looked odd. I think the OEM black helps create the wrap-around fishbowl look. Especially with tinted windows.

This. In one of the photos, it looks "half" done and a little odd. Give it a shot and wrap the edges of the windshield. It may look "complete."

okay, I take back about wrapping the A pillar. After seeing the yellow & red car with the BLACK roof with body color pillars, it really look off & half done. IMO
The pic below make more sense because the white pillars flows with the white roof..

Whatever color your roof is, it just goes along with the A-pillar's color. And vice versa. Mine are both Black. 👍

I have no idea what type of adhesive is used ....its body wrap vinyl, the link for the product is posted above

I would love to see the front area just above the windshield with red connecting the 2 side rails, and without the A pillars in red, and with silver or chrome wheels.

Anyone have Photoshop that can do that please?

I'd leave the "A" pillars alone but you should consider doing the halo between the roof and the back window.

Yep I agree but my problem is my top is a clear top and not a painted black top .. not sure how that's going to look , the black against the clear top that looks black but really is not

would love to get a painted black top then I would do the rails in white and the halo in black

I tried it...there are hidden defects once you do. Lines don't line up and the wide part of the pillar where it meets the top is really bad. Clearly, GM opted to ignore the idea. It DOES work on other cars when a continuous curve is designed in. Now, go out to the garage and see what I mean.😀

Agreed ! not doing it , I am satisfied with the way it looks , just like GM intended it to look when they paint the roof rails on the carbon fiber tops

I agree with a body-colored roof like the white example. BUT...

That yellow one, with the black/transparent center AND the targa halo painted black, looks pretty good to me.

Also, on that one I am not seeing the width/fitment problem at the top that $$$frumnuttin' talks about. What am I missing?

I am most likely getting a C7 with an acrylic top in the next month or so, and unfortunately I find the look a bit wierd with with the C7's fastback styling (vs. the C6's targa hoop...)
