Default Engine still warm

Went for a two hour drive today. Conservative, didn’t push it.
After a few hours went for a quick dinner trip, close to home. Got on it once on the on ramp coming back.
Got home nearly two hours ago. I was just in the garage and I can still feel some heat coming off the engine in spots.
Checked the oil level and it looks fine. I’m not getting any warnings on the dash. Thoughts?
2014 Stingray.

What Steve said, normal. In the garage its not getting as much cooler air to circulate in the engine compartment. I've seen instances when the engine the next morning is still slightly warm.

I know that if I drive my 2017 Stingray and park it inside my one-car garage, it seems to really warm up the place a bit - particularly if the garage door is closed. I don't think it is anything about which you need to be concerned.

In the summer months, opening the hood might allow the car to cool down more quickly........but it really is not necessary. The car won't overheat once it stops running.

Normal. If you think that’s bad, my Z06 will heat the entire garage

Yes, I really noticed this during the summer, as our master bedroom is partly over the garage, and always seemed hot after I parked my Z06. (More so than when I had my C5). I had to leave garage door open and put a pedestal fan on full blast to encourage some of the hot air to leave. My contribution to global warming! Conversely it's no help for my heating bills as the car will probably only get driven one or two times during the winter.

My thoughts are that you are paranoid and obviously didn't grow up with cast-iron 392 hemis!

Hope this doesn't start a thread about folks who raise the hood to cool the engine or some who use leaf blowers!

Fact is ~85% of the energy in gasoline goes other than to propel the car. And of the ~15% that does ~30% goes into the brakes to stop! So essentially 90% goes into wasted heat!

Heat out the exhaust that heats the CATs, pipes and muffler that are still hot when you park.

Heat into the coolant, whether you get "on it" or not that volume is at ~200 F when you stop and goes up as it sits still taking heat from a block that is hotter.

Drivetrain friction heats the trans and dif lubs. Those with an automatic have a lot of fluid that gets very hot.

All that heat takes time to dissipate into the air. Even those brakes take time to cool.

All of the cars materials are designed to handle those temps, PLEASE don't try to accelerate the time for them to cool! Probably causes more harm than good!

I've had more than a few different cars in my garage. I've had nothing that heats the garage like the Corvettes do. Nothing I can think of anyway. My motorcycle will throw heat, but not to this extent. As I write this, I'm remembering there was something I had that threw off a lot of heat, but I can't recall what it was. I know some lines will follow that gigantic hugo softball opening. lol
