Hey Guys,

I did a search and couldn't find this for the C7 section this year. So I thought I would start it.

----------------
--Purpose--
---------------
This is your chance to gift to someone anything you don't want / no longer need related to Corvettes; specifically the C7 generation. Whether it be parts, tools, books, magazines, how-to guides, custom made part you can duplicate, whatever. Offer up your gift and wait for someone to request it.

If you want an item, quote the original post and claim your item. Please don't be greedy and try to claim everything posted. haha. This never happens, but needs to be stated.
-------------
---Rules---
-------------
1 - Post a picture please
2 - This is not a wish-list thread
3 - You are in charge of your own posting, be sure to update it when it has been claimed. Put "CLAIMED" in the original post
4 - Shipping is up to the two parties. It can be covered by the receiver or a complete gift of the giver. NO other money should be exchanged, this is a gift, not a sale thread.
5 - Anything related to C7 generation is acceptable. If you have other generation gifts to offer, please use those sections or start a new thread
6 - Questions....Just ask

Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless!

I just got my car a week ago, so I don't have anything to offer, but hopefully some good trades can be made.

Yeah I got a question: What the hell is this? You don't really explain. I get that it's some gift thing but I'm not sure what I'd be claiming? What am I paying forward and to who. And for that matter why? Is this just some sort of xmas grab back thing? It's all terribly unclear.

I also don't think I'm gonna be sending any gifts to essentially random, unknown people on the internet. What's the purpose? Sounds like a great way to get ripped off.

I don't get the "Pay it forward" deal either. Better name is "Christmas Charity Gifting. " Never understood the whole "Giving back," "Paying forward" deals anyway. Just list the free stuff you want to give away, FOB origin.

I updated the original post to blub what it is about.

And I am not sure how you can get ripped off. You sending it out for free; its a gift.

I agree the name is a little off, but everyone recognizes it on here so I continue to use it.

There already is a pay it forward thread. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-forward.html. I'm kind of surprised some folks haven't heard of it. It's doing some thing nice and totally unnecessary for a complete stranger in hopes that they pay the kindness forward to a complete stranger. I had to trade my Slingshot and Camaro to buy my Vette and I had a bunch of OEM stuff left over from both those vehicles I posted the said stuff on the respective forums giving it away with the recipient paying shipping. Worked out quite well and better than throwing stuff in the garbage. By the way, I have a set of OEM shocks for a Polaris Slingshot if anyone is interested. I don't really participate in many conversations here but I read ALOT of posts. I guess it really shouldn't surprise me that some members on this particular thread haven't heard of this concept and think its a horseshit idea. That seems to be their general attitude about everything. My normal motto and bumper sticker on my truck says "Don't be a Dick". Not really a novel concept.

That might be why I didn't find it. That was the first time i saw the PIF thread in parts. Its usually in General. I only searched General.
But that thread is old and ended in July. So its time to revitalize.

White Elephant Christmas gifting would be a much better name for it.

.Pay it forward, is more like charity.

isn't white elephant where you don't know who you have or what you are getting? That might be true for the former criteria, but not the latter.

I would have thought the person suggesting it would have offered up something to get the ball rolling?

Anyone want to pay their C7 Z06 forward this year? I'd prefer Arctic White with ebony interior, but I won't be picky. Thanks in advance!!

For those C5 owners who may be interested, I have a stock C5 exhaust used roughly 300 miles that I can PAY FOWARD if you are local to AZ 85635 and come pick it up.

Being ill defined, I thought it might be some sort of xmas gift exchange.
