Help me price this 2014 Z51
Hello all!
My name is Chris, I live in Los Angeles. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger purchasing my first corvette. I've owned a S2K, a 350Z, and currently drive a 2007 Mustang. I've also owned a 2002 r6, 2002 GSXR-0600, 2006 r6 Raven edition, 2007 r1 and 2008 r1.
I found a 2014 Z51 coupe LT3 w/ only 2200 miles in pristine condition. Seller sent me the CarFax which came back clean. 1 owner.
Assuming you were in the market, what would pay for it? Also, would you buy now or would you strategically wait for 2019 and if so why?
Anything else I should know?
It's a big financial decision for me so your candid feedback would be very much appreciated!
Thank you for your help!

Moving this over to C7 General for help with the pricing.
Just for comparison numbers, I just bought (11/14/18) a 2014 Stjngray, 2LT, A6, Torch Red with 2600 miles on it and paid $40575. Car is in mint condition. I know the one you are looking at is a 3LT, so it should be priced a little higher. The disadvantage to waiting for 2019 is if the car is priced well, it may sell quickly depending on the market in your area. The advantage to waiting for 2019 could be the personal property tax deferment for next year if you have such a tax where you live.
Good luck in whatever decision you make.

Great info as I am in the market as well.. that 38 is an awesome price....OP.. you can’t go wrong with 3LT and that red is special....The ony draw back is no manufacturer warranty ..it may be worth 6k to 7k more for a 16..but of course if you got service records go for it.

Download Corvette DNA on your phone - its an app used to determine values for Corvettes, based on year, options, condition and mileage. That will be your best tool when negotiating a price. I bought a 14 Z51, 3LT and I have never been happier...good luck!

Sounds like your areas have better deals than mine. In my area of Northern Cal, those specs still command well into high $40ks to almost $50k.
many more examples of ‘14 z51 2lt with over 30k miles get you below $40k.

Did not realize how good of a deal I got on mine 6 months ago until I was looking at the numbers in this post. 2016 NRB 2LT with about half of the 3LT interior extras (must have been ordered special) 1 owner and clean carfax. Drove it off the lot for 42k.
buy in Texas and drive it home get better deals don't know if our cars can meet the CA crazy environmental car stuff though.

I wouldn't want to pay more than $45k for that.
NADA is about $45k clean retail (their categories suck).
KBB is about $43-46k private party.

Well my 2014 Z-51 new when I bought it in March 2014 and it was 63 k so I think the car you are looking at is a great buy !!!! Mine now has 20 k miles because I drive it and in October just finished a drive from the Seattle area to Wichita Kansas !!! By the way tier 1 gas here was 2.59 a gallon the last time I bought it and one of the reasons I moved to this state !!! Wayne
