wanting to buy wheel ramps for my C7. I found a pair on amazon but it said the max wheel width is 9 inches. obviously that doesn't work for us. anyone find a pair you really like when working on your vette?
Ramps are notorious for differing weight capabilities. Many of us have built and use wooden ramps by stacking 2"X12"s that are fastened together. I've been using this method for a lot of years. You can't beat IT (wooden 2"X12"s...…) for sizing and bulletproof SAFETY reliability.

Talk to Fred at Reverse Logic to set you up with the proper size Race Ramps. Fred is a site vendor here on CF. They are extremely light, very strong, and very easy to store. What I like is they don't slide around when you drive up the ramp. Been using these for 6 years. They're great for home service and getting under the car. Very safe to use.
Don't waste your time on heavy wood ramps. Fred at Reverse Logic has ramps that are a little pricey but are better in every way over wood. I store mine in the rafters over the car. They are so light your wife/girlfriend can hand them to you with one hand. They are awesome.
Rhino Ramps at Walmart have been great for me... Race Ramps are really nice but really expensive. Depends how much you want to spend and how often you use them. I use my Rhino's for changing the oil - and they work great - I got (4) and then I just add jack stands for added protection (which you should do all the time regardless which brand of ramps you buy).

Do you jack your car up to put it on your ramps? I've never seen Rhino ramps with a gradual enough slope for a C7 to drive up on.

Yes! I too have also purchased a set of Race Ramps 2 piece "Cribs". I first jack up one side of the car and put 1/2 of 1 crib under each tire and then do the same on the other side of the vehicle. At this point your car is lifted 5 inches up. Now repeat this process to get the vehicle up to the full lift height of 10" You can now crawl safely under your vehicle. What I like about the cribs are they are about half the price of the drive up Race Ramps so you can save yourself some money. I had just done these steps recently to change my oil in my GS and it worked like a charm. Only takes about 5 minutes to lift and 5 to bring it down assuming you have a jack of course. You can buy a real good Daytona 3-ton low profile jack at Harbor Freight for about $120 on sale. I like bringing the car up only 5" at a time as it puts much less torsional stress on the vehicle's chassis.

That is exactly what I do. You are correct, I have never been able to drive up on those ramps, as they seem to always "slide" forward...even in my friends Camaro. Jack up one wheel, place the ramp under the tire, then repeat for the other 3 wheels...

Similar experience here: the Rhino ramps are too steep and they slide as you drive up. The other downside to them is the C7's tires are a technically too wide. In addition the ramps are a bit too low, as you can barely fit under them to do oil changes.
I'm cheap and constructive =2 x 12 work ed well since 2006 on the last C6 and will work for the new C7. The idea of jacking up a SIDE is a goo idea as well.
I haven't used my Rhino Ramps on my C7 yet but they worked great for my C6. Most people probably wouldn't want to do this but to keep them from sliding forward, they have a hole right at the beginning of the ramp. I drilled a hole to match about an inch deep in my garage floor and then put a matching metal dowel about 1 1/2 in
long into it whenever I would change oil. I'd then jack up the back and use jack stands. This was plenty high for me to change the oil.
