Default GM is rasining prices on Corvettes across the board

Probably due to tarrifs? (sorry about spelling in title)

Not surprised. Cars in general seem to get more expensive every year. The vette is still a bargain.

and go with a Stingray or GS coupe. Wish you could pickup the car at the factory and skip the delivery charge. Who needs a stinking PDI anyways.

This is to start preparing us for C8 pricing....

I can hear Tadge: "if you can afford a fully loaded C7, then you can afford a base model no optioned C8"

Money on the hood to move final year to give appearance of amazing values...buy now get x number of dollars off...

plus the sticker shock of c8 price increase will be minimized...

add five grand to z51 c7 with 2 grand auto along with mrc and npp and youve got the price of the new c8..

jmo and im guessing like the rest of you guys.

I don't know why everyone rags on the cupholders. I got the inserts from Amazon and they work fine. Least of my issues.

I just picked up a new 19 GS at the Corvette museum. I heard so many people complain about the cupholders I was expecting them to not work well. I was surprised when I picked up the vehicle as the cupholders were not that bad. I had bought a few cups of hot coffee on my way home and I inserted a paper napkin between the coffee cup and the cupholder. It was a firm, snug fit and held up very well. I am wondering if maybe the cupholder had been reinforced/redesigned in the latest MY. I don't think I'll ever try putting a 32 ounce 7-11 Big Gulp size cup in it but a 16 ounce styrafoam cup was no problem.

I wonder, however, are you not able to edit the title after posting? I'm not sure on that one...

Wasn't the last increase for the 2018 MY around $50 (or something to that extent) alongside a bumped up Destination Fee? If so, that's quite a price hike, but was bound to happen. And wow...2k for the 8-speed? Better open that Scrooge McDuck Money Bin™.

Important priorities for a sports car... " But we still have the same crappy cup holders."

(And, obviously, you never owned a C5 )

That's exactly right. People complaining about cup holders must be using gigantic "Big Gulp" cups. A normal coffee cup works just fine. Never had a problem.

I am more impress than anyone is actually drinking any coffee or water in their Corvette. Just by reading many threads on how these cars are getting pampered to the extreme, I would have made the assumption that no liquid or food is allow in the vehicle.

That puts the new C8 at $70,785 ($60,900 + $1,995 + 1,795 + $5,000 +1,095 (Delivery)) - that is a little more expensive than I think it will actually be - $69,990 including the $1,095 shipping).
The one thread in all the increases seems to be it is hitting the lower fuel mileage cars hardest, which is why the A8 is up another $200.

So the article states "Corvettes that currently available at dealers will not see the price increase and customers with Sold orders that are invoiced after today will also be price protected"

How does GM know an order is sold? My order was place on 11/14/18 with an estimated build date of 01/07/19.
