Default Tach bezel

I just bought a 2017 Grand Sport. Sometimes when accelerating the tach bezel will glow in color around the bezel. What does this indicate?

That's the shift indicator. Time for the next gear (or at least, really soon).

Shift indicator is a row of lights above the tach, however the color lights around the bezel indicate one of two things . . . (1) car is still in break-in period and will glow when you rev above the recommended limit which I think is somewhere around 3500-4000 RPMs. (2) If it is broke in and comes on, it means the engine is not warmed up, so not ready for high RPMs yet. Let it warm up and you're good to go.

This one has been discussed a lot. The shift lights are very useful but the tach in the LCD screen will also give you a shift indicator via this glowing ring as you accelerate very rapidly indicating that you should shift now to avoid hitting the limiter given the rate of RPM increase. This glow is distinct from the break-in and low operating temperature warning ring and won't be seen unless you are accelerating very rapidly in a lower gear.
