Default 12/30/18~Reflect back on this year...and the future of Corvette~Mike Furman@Criswell*

~2018 will come to a close in less than 48 hours from when I write these words for my Sunday morning Corvette post. Rather than post up my deliveries from this
past week I choose to look back for a moment and thank the 400+ customers that did seek me out to be their sales rep at Criswell Chevrolet for the calendar year of 2018. I appreciate each and every
customer that chooses to do business with me from near or far. I am just one of the 35 reps on the floor at Criswell so when you make your initial contact (301-212-4420) please ask for me...
I have sold Corvettes for 40+ years Nationwide so I try to give an unparalleled experience. The 4,150 Corvette customers that I have delivered along with the 8,000 others know exactly what I am referring to.
Thank you one and all and I look forward to assisting you again in the near future...
~Ah yes the future...as we sell the greatest Corvette (C7) since it's inception in 1953, Chevrolet is gearing up for the 8th Generation Corvette. No announcement has been officially made on when the C8 will debut but
there certainly has been a ton of info on the internet and magazines. Zora always said " Rumors sell magazines not cars"
Why change? I just wrote the C7 is the greatest
Corvette made...It most certainly is the greatest generation Corvette produced to date by GM. Doubt me? Take one test drive...but if you are on this forum the chances are that you already have
because you most likely own a C7. Why switch from a front engine to a mid engine? In 1975 Zora Arkus Duntov retired and his last words before leaving the GM Design Center to the man (Dave McLellan) that took over his position
(Chief Engineer)were basically, ..."
Dave, you must build the mid-engine Corvette!” GM wasn't on board with it then, but the future is now and Zora knew back then that the Mid Engine was the future for the Corvette.
*Have I started a C8 deal folder list? Yes I have and all it takes is an email or a phone call to learn more as year 2019 progresses for the 2020 C8. 301-212-4420 is my desk direct line and mfurman@criswellauto.com is my email address.
I send out Corvette email updates every 30-45 days to my Corvette customers to keep them in the know the best that I am able.
Check out my Corvette dedicated web site www.corvettefurman.com or follow my deliveries on my Corvette Furman Facebook page.

~Next weeks delivery post you will see a 2019 Torch Red ZR1 delivery among others so stay tuned.

~I did receive a very nice "Dealer Rater"letter this week that I will share...
"This is the first time we have bought a new car out of state. We contacted Mike Furman at Criswell ref. a new Corvette, and it turned into one of the best decisions we have ever made. Mike gave us a great deal on the new car, and a surprisingly fair site unseen offer on our trade. We set the date for pick-up, and arrived early that day. Mike had all the paperwork ready, and the car was cleaned, prepped, and parked at the front door. The time from finalizing the paperwork to going through the finance dept. took less than 90 minutes. We were very impressed at the friendliness of everyone we spoke with at Criswell, and wouldn't hesitate driving the 400 miles to buy from Criswell again. A big thank you to Mike Furman, and Criswell Chevrolet." Jim K. Concord, North Carolina

Thank you Mike for another great week year of great photos, and for reaching out to all the forum members to keep them informed with all things Corvette!

Congrats. on receiving the great "Dealer Rater" comment and for acknowledging the individual who also posted it! Well deserved based on all we are able to see here, and experience for ourselves.

Here's too continued success in 2019, and hope that you have a safe, and Happy New Year!

Favorite photo, the line-up of C2's...................... looks like 5 SWC's in the shot!

I am also going with the picture of the C2's. The rear of the 64 is straight up sexy in this picture!

Thanks Mike. Some of us never even got to sit in a C7, and we come here to dream about it, just FYI

Mike,

Here's to you and 2019 being the best year ever for everyone on here!

Yesterday we had a break from the cold and what a great feeling taking the car out for what was probably the last blast until spring. Every time I stare at this car it feels like the first time I laid eyes on it thanks to you buddy.

have a safe and Happy New Year..
