FM Radio reception
Wondering what the consensus is regarding the FM radio reception quality in the C7. My 19 GS FM radio reception is horrible. One of my favorite local FM radio stations I use for weather, news is a 50,000 watt station and is located about 50 miles away. Every car I ever used never had a problem receiving this station. My GS struggles to pick up this strong signal no matter where I am in town. In the Corvette this station sounds like the station is 200 miles away. Very surprised it can't receive stations any better than this. Other local station exhibit marginal performance as well. Is this normal for C7? Is there anything the dealer can do to improve the reception on the FM band? TIA.

2017 Stingray with no fm reception problems.
Take you car to the dealer and let them verify that the antenna connections are secure at both ends and do a test on the antenna wire continuity.
If that checks out ok, it is probably the fm tuner hardware that needs to be replaced.

Every time a car has a "hidden" antenna instead of a good old metal rod sticking up from a body panel, it will have reduced receiving capacity.
Of course some will hide that with some sort of amplifier, but still, if you receive poorly, it will amplify the noise too.
Having said that, if something being broadcasted on FM is very important to you, maybe the station streams online and you could feed that from your phone via bluetooth.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I will confirm that the dealership will not need to perform a 92 MPH test drive prior to leaving it for them to work on...

As contrasted with my assorted Mercedes-Benz' the past 30 years, and my Fords, the Corvette seems to have less receptive capabilities. The only bright spot is the Sirius Satellite radio my C7 3LT has. Chevrolet needs to put external antennae on these cars. The integrated ones aren't working.
