Hi All. Prior to this, I never checked brake pad or have any knowledge but rely on dealer. Since I fall in love with tracking the car, I better start learning.

My car is Z07 equip with CCB. Please refer to the photo. How much brake pad I have left? A or B? I assume it's A but I cannot be sure. I check on my other car, the pad is all same color but this one has light brown and then darker color to the metal.

Can I run another one or two track day?

Now, total about 3,400 miles since new.

Anyone have video link to "How to change brake pad on the C7 with CCB"? I have googled and youtubed but mostly C6 or C7 without CCB.

Thank you.

Hi All. I am sorry if I asked stupid question but hope someone can advise. Thank you.

And change them earlier than later. You don't want to damage that rotor. They are very expensive

Thank you. As of now, it has about 4mm on the light brown area and total about 7mm. I guess I should be good for one more track day.

For a true measure of remaining material, measure between the disc surface and the metal wear indicator tab on the pad assembly.

I don't have carbon/ceramics, but I believe I've heard that their pads don't have an indicator tab. Steel tabs rubbing on ceramic rotors wouldn't be a good combination.

That is correct, no indicator. It's all by visual.
