I hope I am asking the question correctly?
I do not have a problem setting the seat setting memory for driver #1 or #2.
The question I have is how to get the 'fob' to know driver #1 or #2?? Admittedly I don't know which fob is 1 or 2 either....if that is important to know?
When I get into the vehicle I have to press the driver #1 button and hold it to get to my #1 seat memory setting.
In my SUV's, when I unlock the vehicle with my 'fob' and then start the car the seat will go to the memory setting.
I have not figured out how to coordinate a 'fob' with a driver setting? In the SUV it was a simple match procedure......I don't see that for the Vette?
Am I blind? Is it in the owners manual but I just don't know where to look?
In my experience, yes, it is important to know which fob is #1 or #2. One fob will direct the driver 1 settings and the other fob driver 2. It took me about a week to realize this as the topic wasn't covered when the salesman showed me around the car upon delivery. Since I got it figured out, I have had no problems.
Mark the FOB so you can differentiate. Mine has 2 keys and the wife's has no keys. Pick a method. If I used her fob I would be crushed to death with the steering wheel!
There's also a difference in the seat movement if you have the M7 vs the A6/8

The easiest way to figure out which fob is which -- get in your car with ONLY one fob (make sure the other one is far away). Start the car, let it run a minute, turn off the car. Go back in the house and get the other fob (leave the first fob well away from the car). When you start the car this time, STARE at the Digital Info Center (place directly in front of steering wheel). Near the bottom at startup time, it will quickly post a message say "Car now using setting from FOB #xx where XX will be either 1 or 2. Mark that fob with some number or mark to say which fob it is. Then turn off the car. Now if you go get the "other" fob (the first one you used and leave the one you just marked far away from the car), when you start the car, it will tell you the setting are now coming from FOB #xx which should be the other number fob. Mark that one also. The message as to which fob is being used is only displayed when you switch from one to the other. If you keep using FOB #1 only, you won't see the message each time you start the car.
thanks DudleyG for your suggestion to determine which fob is #1 and #2.
But.............will the fob when used to unlock the vehicle or is the only one in the vehicle will the vehicle automatically go to the driver seat settings when the vehicle starts?

I have the M7 tranny
What ever FOB is sitting in the driver's seat will do the adjustments.
The main reason I suggested to make sure only one fob is in or near the vehicle while determining which fob is which - is - it not always clear which fob the corvette give priority to. For example if both you and your spouse approach the car with each person having a fob on them, the car may recognize the fob that the passenger is carrying first (and not the driver) especially if the passenger is the first one to try to open the door. In other words, the car can't predict which person is going to be the driver if it recognizes 2 fobs within its range. Remember, you can unlock the car by pushing the button on the fob, but you can also unlock the car by just being next to it with a fob in your pocket and using your hand to open the door. 4th thru 6th generation Corvettes externally numbered the fobs and gave priority to FOB #1. 7th generation Corvette don't number the fobs externally (only internally) and it not obvious that FOB #1 gets priority. It seems more like the first fob it recognizes gets the priority. Your SUV may be giving a particular FOB priority over the other ones.
As mentioned just above, you hope the car can figure out which fob is closest to where the driver is sitting but that doesn't always work that way.

Reason: Add info.
Well................I did the DudleyG suggestion to figure which fob is which
Nothing showed up on the digital screen?
So..........I still do not know which fob is which
I will assume I am not doing something right. please advise
I have a 2015 and a 2017 and both of mine will tell me what is called the DRIVER ID (i.e. fob number) when I switch fobs. I just checked the owner's manual for 2017, 2018, and 2019, and under the section "Seats and Restraints" about 5 or 6 pages into it, it talks about seat memory and how to set them, it then tell how to determine which fob it is recognizing by switching fobs and then looking at displaying DRIVER ID in the DIC. There is a disclaimer in the 2017 manual that says it doesn't always display that for some vehicles but always does for mine.
Hopefully a forum member by the name of Gearhead Jim will chime in. He and his spouse travel all over the country together in a C7 corvette and I suspect they both have a fob with them, and thus Jim who says he is usually driver and his spouse is the navigator probably have come close to figuring out all of the combinations of how multiple fobs works.
I searched the Owner's manual for "DRIVER ID" in 14 (nope), 15(nope), then I got a hit in 16. So I'm guessing it came out in 15 and made the book in 16.
Elmer,
I suspect you are right about when the feature was added to display the DRIVER ID. My 2015 Z06 is a Dec 2014 build and it has that feature, but I am guessing the manual is basically a 2014 manual with update stuff for the Z06 models that first appear in 2015.
OK, mine is a 2015 Z51 3LT. Nothing is showing..............but then I may not be at the correct 'screen' on the DIC to see which FOB is being used?????????
I just walked thru the garage for a reason other than looking at my corvettes, but one thing struck me. When you get out of the car and push the lock button on the fob, it just puts the car in "soft" sleep. After about 5 to 10 minutes, the car completely shuts down all electrical systems such as the infortainment center, lights, and activates the alarm. Until the car completely shuts down, it might not display changing DRIVER ID if you jump back in again and start it. It may think the same driver is operating the vehicle.
The way to tell what mode the car is in, look at the red light on the center of the dash, if it is solid RED, the car is in "soft" sleep. If the RED light is blinking, it is completely shutdown and the alarm is active. You can completely force it to shutdown quickly by pushing the lock button on the fob twice. If you do it quickly, the horn blows and the lights might flash. If you wait about 30 seconds between pushing the button the horn doesn't blow.
Try the routine again the see which fob, but make sure your car has the flashing red light before you start it with the other fob.
Bob,
I just went out to the garage and started the 2017 with Fob 2 (I normally use Fob 1) and right in the middle of the DIC, the message pops up "INFORMATION - YOU ARE NOW OPERATING AS DRIVER 2 FOR MEMORY FEATURES". It stays there for about 10 seconds. It is much like what you get in a manual shift car about shift from 1 to 4 or the NO XM RECEPTION message. The same place you get your phone connect to car message.
I didn't back the car out, it is 35 degrees and pouring the rain.
What ever FOB is sitting in the driver's seat will do the adjustments.
??. My '14 is not that sophisticated.
If we both have fobs and enter, it won't determine which fob is where once in the car. It does try to determine which one enters which door, but ... beyond that....? The car does not actually check at this point to see.
