Default Drivetrain Whistle

My 2015 Z51 has developed a fairly distinct low whistle that sounds like it is coming from the right rear, starting at about 1800 rpm and ending at about 2200 rpm. It can be heard in pretty much all gears and both going up and down in rpm. Not really loud, but noticeable. It has been doing this for quite some time but seems to be getting a bit louder recently, so thought I would ask if any other members have had this and if so, what it might be and how to remedy? Thanks.

Nothing like that with mine. I'm sure you've checked under the car. Have you added any exterior mods?

Sorry, what do you mean by "checked under the car" here? No exterior mods. Thanks.

Check to see if there is trash (plastic bag, etc) stuck somewhere under there. Also, check to make sure the air dam is up tight. I lost a screw in my air dam causing it to sage in one section, but it didn't cause a noise. Kind of go through the elimination process, and maybe you can track the problem down. Good luck, I know how aggravating little things like this can be.

Does it change with loading? That is to say if you take your foot off the gas does the noise go away? How about when accelerating? Does the noise occur within a certain speed range (regardless of engine revs)?

The whistle happens between 1800 and 2200 rpm (about) whether accelerating or decelerating and happens in all gears from what I can tell, although easiest to hear at lower speeds, like in 2nd and 3rd, before road and wind noise start to get louder. I doesn't seem to be hurting anything, just one of those little nagging things, right?
