Looking at the CTek model 3300 battery charger/maintainer. They have an adapter that looks like it will work on the trunk plug. It has a decent price.
Anyone have experience with this unit and plug
Thanks

Yep bought one in 2013 for one of the early C7s I got in October 2013 (so have many others.) Half the price of the same one (actually 1 more feature) with the GM Logo! They make them for everybody and you can even get the same one with a Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche etc Logo BUT you'll pay more!
Correct on the GM unit being a CTEK with GM Logo - Not sure what the actual specs of the GM unit are.
I looked up the CTEK 3300 & it's 3.3 A max. I've had a CTEK MUS 4.3 (4.3 A max) for a number of years that I use on our vehicles - 3 cars, 2 garden tractors, & 1 motorcycle - Works very well on all of them.
I recommend CTEK based on my experience although there are a number of units that will meet your requirements.
I have used that model on a number of my cars over the past 15 years and they are fine. One word of caution to you and anyone else with the CTeck, use a lightning arrestor strip to power them if you live in an area that has those summer storms. I have lost several over the years to power surges. Some of the other well known brands are not as sensative to this issue.
The difference in price between the Ctek 3300 and the Ctek MUS 4.3, which is now the MXS 5.0 is about $10-12. I would opt for the 8 stage 4.3 amp MXS 5.0 over the 3300. In either case you need the cig lighter plug, and if you use a car cover, the 8' extension cable.
I have an older MUS 4.3 and a new MXS 5.0 in my garage - the MUS 4.3 is on the C7 and the MXS 5.0 is used for two of our daily drivers that sits around when the kids are away at college. The seem to be the same exact items and both work really well.

I have used the ctec 3300 on my C6 and now with a cigarette plug in the trunk. I recommend get CTec extension cord if needed to reach the trunk The specialized slender extension cord on EBay connects directly with the cord and cigarette adapter.
My car is always plugged into that port using the C Tek 3300. I purchased the extension power cord to run the wire through the drive side window to reach the power port. My C Tek is mounted on the garage wall and I run the wire through the window opening.
FWIW, have used a Deltran Battery Tender for over 8 years on three cars. Never let me down. I appreciate the fact that I can hook it up under the hood of the C7 vs. under the hatch.

I would not advise that model. I have had two. Both crapped out. The mode buttons started jumping all over different modes. The mode button itself is very poor. I am sending my second one back fora warranty. On the phone they told me a new model now replaces tge 3300.

Works absolutely fine for me, been using it since the car was new, been using it for years, and use it daily. No problems, works exactly as designed.

Funny when I told them the problem, they pretty much acknowledged many complaints regarding that specific problem. Maybe thats why it is being replaced. I guess your just lucky or charmed.

Great unit, had it on my C6 GS and now on my new C7 ZO6, works great. Plug into the rear hatch outlet, run the cord out the edge, close hatch, put cover on and plug it in for hibernation. In the good weather months I plug it in if I won't be driving it for a few days, to this point I've never had any battery issues.
Sure, there is nothing magic about the C7's electrical system or its "cheap" battery! I replaced it in my early 2014 C7 with an AGM battery with 20% more CCA and the charger worked fine. In fact any quality battery maintainer will work fine.
I have a cheaper Schumacher charger on my Street Rod that have been on essentially all the time for ~10 years. It's only off when It goes to car shows. It allowed the Yellow Top Optima to last ~10 years. Just replaced it as it was living on borrowed time but t was working fine. I almost never use the one for the Vette even when n vacation for 2 1/2 weeks. I don't drive every day but at least several times per week and always about 50+ miles. I live ~20 miles from town. Yep the cheap battery in the Grand Sport won't last that long but not worth the PIA to plug in a charger!
However with the new C8 and it's speculated 48 volt system (as is being used on some European cars) it probably won't.
