Just get them. You won't have to worry about replacing them on the street anyway. The gas and extra insurance is gonna cost more than the brake pads if they wear out after 250k miles
and lastly, if you are so stretched that you are worring about brakes, (yes even expensive brakes), you should probably rethink the z06 z07 car... Heck, the tire costs are gonna kill you...lol
If you put a lot of miles on the car, I'd bet they are mostly highway miles. Nobody puts a lot of miles on a car 1 block at a time..
The brakes (CCB's) will probably last the lifetime of the car is you put on highway miles.
They last 10 trackday weekends, which are like dog years...

My thoughts exactly. Maybe OP should consider a different model Vette.
You can replace the pads, but they’re $500 per axle. You have to use specific pads for the carbon ceramic matrix rotors.
But the rotors and pads will last you a LIFETIME if you don’t track it. 100,000 miles easy. So why worry about the replacement cost? Do you worry about the cost of replacing the engine if it fails in say, 500,000 miles? Because that’s going to be an expensive cost too.

I've read this also. So don't worry about the brakes/rotors if you're not going to track the car. Buy it, put 5 bucks a week back, and enjoy the car. Buy the time you wear out the brakes you'll have more than enough saved to replace them. But if you're like most Corvette drivers you'll have another Vette well before you wear out the pads on the Z06.

On my 17, ZO6 with the CCB. I have around 18K miles, and they rotors look like new. The only thing I do NOT like is how touchy they are. They are like power brakes on steriods. Vey senstive. It takes very little pedal pressure, and if not careful they will put you into the windshield. It takes some practice to get use to them!
Buy the car and enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
