I was checking out a local car show in front of a restaurant I was eating at. I saw a modified C6 and C7. I told my friend they were both auto and we laughed. I'm sure they're probably faster than mine, but meh. It's hard to see myself driving an auto sports car when manuals are still available, even considering the traffic.

What assists? I don't use rev match, and it's not a matter of feeling manly, it's a matter of fun.
Pull the crappy stock shifter out and pop in an MGW, and it gets even better.

I don't have any assists to help me shift. It's a total blast.

Why can’t someone have the opinion or preference of the M7 instead of the A8???? Buy what ya want I don’t care!

A pretty sad and petty comment. Esteem issues?? You drive what you like and I’ll drive what I like.

Look, this is an Internet car forum, so I've read some mind blowing dumb **** here. But I must confess, nothing, and I mean NOTHING I've seen in 3.5 years of owning Corvettes and being on these boards has ever approached this level of stupid.

Well done.

P.S. I'm faxing your # to the White House, expect their call.

I haven't noticed the M7 sales but I suppose their driver simply want a new car, maybe another newer M7, maybe an auto.

I personally dont care what anyone drives but on here its obvious all the hate towards the A8 and people's choice. It's the same thing when comparing Z06 and GS. These are the two topics talked about the most on here. Once in a while there are actual informative threads.

Thank you. Go enjoy your hill start assisted car, while you shift without lifting and then slow with rev match, while the PTM tries it's best to stop you from going into the ditch.

It's hilarious here but it's an education! I have learnt that if you have Chrome wheels you must be old, if you drive an auto you must be lazy or not a true enthusiast? (or I believe one of the comments was you are to be laughed at) and then there is the 1Lt shaming and the who would buy a Coupe when you could have a Convertible crowd - oh and lets not forget the HP issue, who could only live with 460HP when 650HP is needed for the passing lane. I have only owned my C7 for 3 months so I am new to this section, I have spent most of my time in the C1/C3 area.

A8 owners dont judge M7 owners. However when it's the other way around, M7 owners are very opinionated and feel they are more elite in some way.

I also see A8 owners going out of their way to explain why they chose it and their entire experience with manuals throughout their whole life just so they can be accepted.

I was out at a track day and parked next to a fellow C7 owner. The first thing he did, was run over and check which transmission I had because he had a M7. Not much talking was done after that. I mean cmon.

Yet you just can’t help yourself by adding to it. Maybe if everyone stopped the foolishness it would end, and we could get back to discussing the hobby.

Your right. But I also do it just to show the M7 drivers how foolish comments can be when discussing transmission choices.

I am a die hard manual driver but I test drove an A8 and for some reason I loved it a thousand times more, such an odd thing. The A8 on this forum has a bad wrap but mine has been bullet proof and I have 23k miles.

Sorry bud but I think you are misunderstanding. M7 driver decided to not talk to me because I wasnt "pure" like he was. I talk to everyone at track days regardless of what they drive.
